Tiffpietiff
Colleague of mine got press passes to some European festival last year (may have been Hove or something), and Matt came out to have a chat with all the photographers and journalists beforehand, was apparently a really nice guy. Riveon
I want to "understand" Matt and his musicality in person. I get a rather creepy mental image of you taking him to a laboratory...
Blype
Just read all these storys. I've been non-stop smiling for over two hours. They sound so in person. Knowing me, I'd propably be frozen to the spot with a stupid expression on my face, and do something embarassing and forget how to talk How do you go about walking up to them and introducing yourself etc. without being a fool? Ishtar
How do you go about walking up to them and introducing yourself etc. without being a fool? Back in 2001 I only knew the guys vaguely from the cd cover picture (showbiz), because we did not yet have a computer at home, so I wasnt at all nervous! And Matt was very open and friendly so he made me feel right at ease. Also, it wasnt outside a tourbus or something, but backstage where there were grapes, beer, wine, music, strawberries and a lot of people so the whole atmosphere was so laidback. I guess those days are gone
BLlSS
I was in Teignmouth a couple of days before the Seaside Rendezvous gigs and I turned round and almost fell over! Chris was there and two other people. I think Kirky was one of the others, but I wasnt as Muse crazy as I am now, so i only vaguely recognised him. I stood there thinking "Right, one of your all time heroes is standing right in front of you, you can ask any question in the whole world." And the best question of all the questions i shouldve thought of was "So... erm.. you looking forward to the gigs this weekend?" and yeah said "yeah and something else". Then he signed my Origin Of Symmetry CD! Except it was raining so it didnt work properly, so we went under a tree and then he left. It was amazing! So you calm yourself down and make the most of the situation. Plus I didn't want to embarass them or myself. Then you strive to meet them again numerous times in your life and do the same thing...(I hope so)
Einafets
We just went up to Dom and Kirk and said hi. It was really easy to get into a conversation and they are really nice. No need to be nervous or anything
deborafraga
My friends and I meet Matt when they came to Brazil last April It was very quick and I was nervous and all I could say to him was that the gig was amazing and thank him for play Bliss and Citizen Erased that night He was with Kate but when we call him he came to take some pics with us and sign some stuff! He was really nice, the security guard was rushing him and he said to the security guard to wait that he was signing a couple of things and sorry, my english isn't good

unAWARE
I'm currently conspiring to meet them at the gig in Indianapolis. Thinking of making a sign to get their attention. However, my seats suck so they may not see it, but I'll try. It would make my birthday so epic...lol

I'm getting Citizen Erased tattooed on my forearms next friday (not for the purpose of meeting them I'm not that shallow). From their we can get within eyeshot of them and if they see them that should almost guarantee something.
bob122577
Last weekend in Atlanta, we spent the entire day trying to come up with a way to meet the band. For the better part of 8 hours until the show, we braved the other acts and stood as close as we could to backstage without a pass. We'd hoped that they would arrive early and somehow the opportunity would arise. Some time between Flo-Rida and the start of the game, we saw Dom (and possibly Chris-we couldn't tell since he never turned around) and tried to get his attention. He looked in our direction but I guess he didn't see/hear us. We left a little bit before the show was over (gasp !) in a last ditch effort to catch them before they left. We went around the back to find a few more people with the same idea. There were ten of us in all, we split up into three groups and after a surprisingly long while ( I thought they would have left immediately) somebody caught them about to leave. I hopped on the fence and waved to Chris. He waved back at me but I couldn't think of what to say. Luckily, the other people started talking. I thought they were going to leave and then suddenly Chris jumped up on the fence and said "Hello!" I swear any time I'm unhappy I'll think of that and it will cheer me up. He was so friendly and bubbly it was awesome. I had a lot of things I wanted to say (like all the stuff I planned to say if I got my chance or how much I love Liquid State and Save Me) but I knew they needed to leave soon and he was giving autographs and I didn't want to miss my chance. Like an idiot, I didn't bring something good for him to sign and I didn't take my ipod out of my case beforehand so I just had him side my botched homemade shirt that suddenly has value. Now I just have to be prepared for the next time!

You find it when you aren't looking. Sounds like a fun adventure though, congrats on the signed shirt!

TrebleRose689
Does Morgan count? XD I met him Monday before the first MSG gig. It was just a small group of us, and he seemed legitimately surprised that we recognized him He was very nice, but quiet, and laughed when I told him that he's the unsung hero of the band I got a picture with him, too (it's an awful, awful picture of me, but oh well XD) Oh, and I didn't meet any of the other guys, BUT I brought signs with me to the gigs I went to, the guys saw 'em, and I ended up with a drumstick, harmonica, and two picks (Chris and Matt even went out of their way for me to give me my harmonica and picks <3 I won't bore you with the details here though ) For me, that "connection" will probably be the closest thing I ever have to really meeting them *sigh* but I'm okay with that for now XD
