I think the whole thing is funny, especially in how it makes the board sound.... funny cuz it's true ;)

 

I also think it's great when Matt refers to the "psychotic central core" of muse fandom and other assorted comments.... there's a whole lot of crazy out there in muse land, but that's what makes it fun :) I don't want to be part of some high-brow community who can't laugh at themselves or are unaware of their silly fan behavior. Embrace the crazy :yesey:

 

I wonder if this little feature is actually something they wanted to do, or if they came up with the idea just so they could make comments about this board ;)

Tbh, I think Dom and Matt, in particular, could probably make the majority of fans on here look like innocent little angels! :LOL: Particularly when they were younger, I don't recall that they were as pure as the undriven snow! ;) And probably they're still not! :LOL:

 

There is some exaggeration in this article, well from what I've seen anyway. In reality, what has been depicted is only a fraction of the activity on this board, but as for the craziness, as long as it's not really creepy which, yeah, maybe occasionally it is, I reckon the band are fine with it, though it could freak them out a bit if they read about it all at once in a condensed version, as in this article. This article is funny but it's pure sensationalism imo.:)

 

And they certainly loved that NME hot male thing. The fact that they said some of our crazy fans voted more than once is neither here nor there, they loved it. :D They are not pretentious over it, which I think is great.:D Some of their fans are far more pretentious than they are! :LOL:

Definitely :) they never were and never will be innocent little angels ;)

 

I agree that there is a bit of exaggeration in the article, but still, there are some crazy and creepy people on here ... though I've seen much worse cases of craziness going on etc. on other band's boards.

I also think the band are fine with it, cause it doesn't really affect them much and they most likely are happy (and a bit proud maybe:rolleyes:) that they have truly the best fanbase EVER ;)

 

As for the NME sexiest male award - I think it's really funny and the band (from their reaction to this) seems to share that opinion :LOL:

When I first came across my quote I couldn't imagine that I said it, which I did, well sort of, but I had meant that they hadn't depicted Matt as interesting enough, whereas it looks like I wanted to encourage people to take the piss out of him. Goes to show how they can very subtley twist stuff and why you should never judge an interviewee on the written word. I'm not particularly bothered, but imagine if you're in the public eye, you must get that all the time. :stunned:

Really? that's not how I read it at all and I thought triple j really captured the essence of the ultimate matt defender.
