Anticitizen1
Very nice. Echoes of Explorers, Exogenesis and The Dark Side, for me. Wished it was a couple of minutes longer too. Who would you like Muse to collaborate with? I'd say Hans Zimmer ( I know Bastille have already) and Florence Welch.

Claudia O
I think it‘s impossible  to cover Ave Maria  1) make it a Pop/Rock song 😞 2) in English?! Really? 😆  3) I‘m glad they didn‘t make it into a dance-anthem 😅  No, this song wasn‘t needed at all. But it‘s only my opinion.
muse samuse
Mir gefällt es sehr! I like Matt's singing in his lower register in the first arc. He may even have hit a G2. The arpeggios and broken and diminished chords are common in many of his songs. Could be Exogenesis Part 4 or Explorers 2.0 or The Void 2.0.  The three different arrangements/interpolations of this famous Bach/Gounod piece are awesome: Very cinematic featuring Matt's dynamic vocal range, EDM/synths/bass/drums, and orchestral strings.  Irony between TOADA and Megalomania and Fury in the early 2000s and now this prayer to forgive us for our faults in the world about to explode. That is one interpretation. Beyonce's rendition of Ave Maria in 2008 with re-written lyrics also had mixed reviews. Both her Schubert version and the Zedd/Bellamy collaboration are very personal. Opera and pop singers like Pavarotti, Bocelli, Dion, Streisand, and Groban have covered it in the more traditional classical way with the original text which purists prefer. Andy Bell of Erasure sung a version in Latin live in a concert in Germany about 20 years ago. Edited September 3 by muse samuse
That Little Animal
I don’t know much about Zedd, so I don’t know how much of this is Zedd and how much is Muse. Musically, it leads me to believe more and more that Matt/Muse needs to do finally do an entire movie score. Heck, even start with a video game score to get the juices flowing. Vocally, it reminds me once again that I really haven’t enjoyed the sound of Matt’s voice in recent years and that it can really ruin the experience of listening to their otherwise enjoyable releases.
bliss_muse
I like the song. I haven't heard of Zedd before but the song definitely gives me Muse vibes. The mix of electronic and classical music is interesting and I also like Matt's vocals. ^-^
