The 2010 race for the Moonmen

Lady GaGa Leads VMA Nominationsis on...

17:13, Tuesday, 3 August 2010

Lady GaGa leads the list of nominees for the 2010 MTV VMAs with a grand total of 13 nominations.

The VMAs haven't even been given away yet, but Gaga's already "won" two distinctions: she received the most nominations ever in a single VMA year, and she's the first female artist nominated for two different videos in the Video of the Year category for Bad Romance and Telephone featuring Beyoncé.

Eminem has racked up eight VMA nominations, including Best Male Video, and Video Of The Year for Not Afraid, while in the newcomers category, both Florence and the Machine and B.o.B. are up for 5 VMAs each, Ke$ha's up for 3 Moonmen, and Justin Bieber is up Best New Artist for Baby.

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards takes place in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
