tillydog
I love this song one of the best songs on absolution it's a heavy song like most of the stuff on absolution but there's something about it.

mon_coeur_s'ouvre
i think it was the first song by muse i was really crazy about i just love the guitar riff so much! matt plays it live a little differently compared to the album version though i prefer the way it's played on absolution, but i enjoy the song live none the less
Tom//P
This was the first Muse song I heard. I remember hearing this song and being blown away by the instrumentals and how the singer used his vocals to compliment them. As soon as I found out the track and band I bought every album, dvd etc... Music was nothing to me until I discovered Muse.
llamafish164
The fim Millions is epic, mostly because of this song being in it!
Bluefish
One of the first Muse songs I liked, but I'm really sick of it now.
Stellaris
Since its debut nearly 20 years ago now, this album has been put through every critique possible for a disc. Some have said it's too big. Too slick. Too excessive. I have to disagree, one hundred percent. These songs sound enormous, they are gigantic and just reach right out of your speakers and grab you by the throat. That's the way hard rock should be, with or without the hairband gloss. Right, because this thread is to discuss the Def Leppard album, not the Muse song. TheMuseEffect
It's the song that got me into Muse. 4 years on and i'm still in love with it. Listening to interlude into Hysteria is one of my favourite past times!

Davinq
There actually isn't a discussion thread for Hysteria already, wow. Easily my second favourite Muse song. Original, fresh, brilliant, hard-hitting. Magic.

Dillyracer
I love it but I have no idea why I don't really find it fun to play on the guitar. :/
iceman2321
I love it when Matt plays along with Chris in the intro as seen on this tour, sounds so epic! Been listening to instrumentals lately and it just makes me wanna pick up a bass and play this riff/song. Is it hard to play?
TrebleRose689
Wow, how have I not posted here before? Well, since the thread's been bumped, why not? Hysteria was my first "favorite" Muse song. Back when I was starting to listen to them, it was the first song that made me go "WOW!" and then listen to it again and again The bassline is hott as hell, I love the guitar solo, and the words are so powerful and emotional (to me, at least ) Even though I've found other songs that I've also fallen head-over-heels for, Hysteria will always be one of my top favorites. Spectrum IV
Hysteria got me into Muse, and I still love it 3 years later. Also 3 years later: I still can't play the guitar part on Rock Band. Shit's hard.
FeelingInvincible
I love Hysteria. The chorus is so basic in terms of its' progression but its' so easy to love . Also I think the guitar solo is one of Matt's best.
MattMelRach
I love Hysteria. I've had it as my ringtone forever. It's just one of those songs I never get tired of. Gotta say, don't care for the video at all, though.

Been listening to instrumentals lately and it just makes me wanna pick up a bass and play this riff/song. Is it hard to play? I learnt the bass riff on guitar. It isn't hard to play once you get the picking and rhythm of it. The way that I learnt it was, play the riff really slow in one part. (There is a part on the A string, shifts to the E string, then D string then back to the A string) and I repeated the first A string bit over and over, then the same with the E and D string bit. I hope that makes sense and it helps you
