MuseManagement
As many of you are probably aware, unofficial merchandise and fake signatures are frequently sold on Ebay. Muse Management have set up an account with Ebay in order to try to prevent some of the worst offenders from ripping off our fans. You can see some information about our account, policies and some guidelines for buying on Ebay on our About Me page on the Ebay website here. We obviously cannot police every item that is uploaded for sale on Ebay. So, for those of you that are planning to buy something high priced, we have set up an email address where you can contact us for our opinion on whether an item is official or the signatures genuine. The email address is ebay@muse.mu. Before you contact us, please read the guidelines on our About Me page and please note the following: - Please only contact us about one-off or high value items (ie not badges, stickers etc!). - Please note that we will rarely be able to offer 100% certainty on the authenticity of signatures, but we will give you an opinion. - Please contact us as early as possible into a listing in order to give us the time to research the item. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to reply to all emails especially if they are sent too close to the listing end date. - Please title your email as follows: EBAY ITEM QUERY - Please ONLY contact us about Ebay items on this address. Emails on other subjects will not receive a response. - We will not be able to accept liability for any unsatisfactory item bought on Ebay. Items bought are done so entirely at the buyers risk. Thanks, Muse Management.

Auburn
I bought the Muse EP a few years ago for £20, and I've always wondered if it was fake or not because theres no way of telling.

Niall
20 quid?! lucky you! I bought a Muscle Museum EP unstickered promo for £2.60 a few days ago. That's porbably cheaper than the original price for one sold at gigs back in 1999.

leetroot
this is an excellent idea. may many others follow suit. the number of crap things that are on ebay. certificates of authenticity are pretty worthless - issued by the seller to confirm their item is genuine? pah! is the tobacco tin with the origin artwork genuine or not? i'd say no but i'm not 100% sure. i want one anyway... (they never come up for sale though )

Niall
I think the people in charge of this are becoming over zealous. I keep seeing items I'm watching or bidding on disappearing. And not fake items, but genuine Muse releases...it's incredibly annoying, especially since there are tons of fake CDs on eBay that are untouched. Its not an ebay item, but I want to make sure they don't take my auction down, because its quite obscure! and i don't want to lose my ebay fees! ghengis
It is still in operation. What item are you selling? I'm selling some really old merch from around the time of the EP's release. So the current management wouldnt have been around then, but hopefully they can help... maybe!
