Grrr it's "Dark Shines" - it's either a name like Jack Frost or "the dark that shines" or in the song's sense "your dark, it shines!!!"

Sorry lol I just refuse to believe it's one word it must've been a typo...

*Geek*

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's 1 word. They can't have made a typo that many times- gig setlists, back of vinyl case, booklet, etc...

I will not have your opinion expressed on a messageboard! *throws balls of fire at you*

Hi all

Just finished learning this song acoustically with my flatmate. We were just wondering if the last line in the chorus is really "because its good". If it is, dont you all reckon it's the worst line of all time? Yes?

-rich

Just might be.

i always thought there were no actually lyrics to microcuts, untill i checked to booklet. i still don't understand what he's singing though.

same here! and when i listened to it over and over i began to imagine possible meanings to it, like: "hands tied, memories re-grow" instead of "hands are red with your blame"

oh! and the first time i listened to Sober i thought it said "woah come helium bend in" instead of "Royal Canadian blended":LOL::LOL:

i still have lots more..

I thought;

"All your theories turn to dust"

was

"All your fairies turn to dust"

.. for SO long.

I was picturing lots of little fairies exploding into glitter.

oh noes! i thought it was fairies actually.. and the worst part is that i like the idea of having fairies in a muse song, damnit. :(

this thread's fun:LOL: whenever i read a misheard lyric that's what i'll start hearing, especially with "Darkshines" and "Hoodoo"

Micro Cuts:

"sounds like fox on a plane"

instead of "forks on a plate"

Recess

"And the planes and trains are too bling"

In SMBH:

You set my soul alight

(what it actually says)

You suck my soul alive

(what my ears insist on telling me)

And yeah, I keep hearing "fairies" in Exo-Politics as well.

Ok, I know there was a misheard lyrics thread on the board that died but as it was one of my favorite threads and that I'm sure that there are more misheard lyrics, don't be embarrassed and share them so we can all laugh at our deafness!

Ok so let's start.

"It wont be long, before I disturb you in the dark always"

sounded to me like:

"It wont be long, before I just stab you in the dark"

"now that you know i'm trapped

sense of elation"

sounded to me like:

"now that you know i'm trapped

since ovulation"

I thought he said "before I stab you in the dark" too! LOL :p

Me too, haha up until about two days ago actually. And for that matter, here's my other mistake from Megalomania:

"Take off your disguise"

sounds like:

"Take off your dead scars"

to me. I just thought it was some sort of rebirth metaphor thing, haha.
