Poor Gorillaz! :noey: :'(

Actress Kate Hudson demanded a VVIP area as she attended the Glastonbury festival at the weekend, it’s been reported.

Organisers are said to have had to pull down Gorillaz dressing room to accommodate Hudson, the girlfriend of Muse’s Matt Bellamy.

The special tented VVIP area was decorated with flowers and sofas, according to the Daily Mirror.

"It was like Fort Knox in there,” a source said.

“Snoop and Damon Albarn were happy enough mixing with everyone the day before. But there was a totally different vibe with Muse around."

As well as Muse, the 40th anniversary edition of the festival also featured headline performances from Stevie Wonder and Gorillaz

I don't believe it tbh. The original story came from the Mirror which is filled with nonsense.

I don't buy it either. There was more detail in the original Mirror story which made it sound like they're essentially talking about the "dressing room" area for the band, not some private spot just for her.

So, even if we assume that their description of it's size is accurate, what is more likely - that the band who agreed to do a festival several months ago made certain "demands" for what they wanted to have backstage and the festival organizers complied or that some chick who's known one of the guys in the band for 2months suddenly showed up and made demands about how big the band's dressing room should be?

How did that source says that Muse weren't mixing with other artists and that, and there's a pic of Matt with Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters?

Both articles are just bollocks! I can't stand gossips this days y'know... it's just stupid.

It does seem like they might have been a bit closed off for that festival, though. Possibly because of Dom or just because they had a lot of family present (they've always said that when they do shows in the UK the whole family shows up)

I find it odd that I have yet to find any pre or post gig interviews from the festival site :shifty:

Yes. It just sounds like the usual stuff that the tabloids make up to make celebs sound like divas.

Anyway Glasto doesn't seem like the kind of festival to treat stars like royalty. Acts are only paid a tenth of what they would be paid to play at other festivals.

It is a bit unlike them but I think it was deliberate, mainly for Dom and his family.

I can agree on being closed off for the family in there, but just trying to compare them with other artists and trying to find an "odd part" when probably there's any, it's ridiculous. Oh! I know... "it's the Daily Mirror! :awesome:"

About the interviews, yep is not normal, maybe it was already stipulated in their contract with festival organizers or they knew they were going to be bothered with personal stuff (Dom's father or Kate). :erm:

I don't get it. Muse (and many other bands) were in the VVIP area, which consisted of Winnebagos, not tents. If Muse had a reserved Winnebago spot or two, why would anybody be tearing down tents? Who would sit in a smoldering hot tent when you could be in an air-conditioned Winnie? My guess: Fabricated story to sell papers/get hits on website. Controversy sells.
