Davinq
Yer, true. one more day of Fillip and this then we move on to the next track (which I think will be even slower) Is that a diss on Falling Down?
Aussie Muser
Is that a diss on Falling Down? Not from me personally. i love it (as i love all songs) I just doubt that many people out there don't share my (and yours it seems) view. Sad. Let's find out shall we? Since its technically early, you can still ahve your say on Fillip. But now to Falling Down. The slowest song on the first album, feels a bit like a ballad with its slow intro. Matt's falsetto in this song is the equal most perfect in Showbiz. But the part I love the msot is the bit where he explodes "Too late. I already found what I was looking for. ANd it wasn't you. no, it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSENT YOUUUUUUUUUU - OHHHH!" The last Falling away before the end of the song is absolutely heart breaking too. I really like this song. 7/
Riveon
Falling Down 6.5/10 Falling Down is definitely one of the better tracks on Showbiz, although it took a long time to grow on me. It showcases Matt's great vocals (particularly falsetto) and a musical style that they arguably have only utilised the one time. It is a light sounding track at first, but gradually builds into powerful, emotional, swirling choruses, until the amazing climax at the end. It's perhaps one of the more angsty songs on Showbiz (15 000 people scream, etc) but it's no worse off for it.
Scott Morrison
Falling Down is one of my favourites from Showbiz. The falsetto is so beautiful; it still makes me melt. It's also very sort of bluesy/almost-jazzy; gentle but oh-so emotive. I definitely heart it lots.
HenryW7
Falling down gets 6/10 for me, but I still really like this song, especially the bridge.

Gabijota
Falling Down This song always reminds me of summer two years ago. That summer I was working for a while at big farm, handpicking strawberries, it was exhausting job and on my short lunch brake I always listened to "Falling Down", it would boost my mood a little bit. Now when I listen to it I remember endless strawberry fields and how happy I were when I got chance to listen to "Falling Down". So, song brings quite good memories therefore I like it 9/
Repeaterbeater
Falling Down has a blues-y feeling to it, epic lyrics, good vocals and climaxes. One of my fav slow songs. I can easily give it 8/10.

futurellama
I kinda like falling down. If they ever re-did Showbiz with better vocals and such it'd probably be one of my favourites. 6/10.
Chocolate E. Clare
i love falling down, i like the bluesey-ness and the "it WAAAHAAAASNT YOU" plus it really demonstrates matts vocal range 9.5/
MiKeUltra
Falling Down I quite like Falling Down; its not exactly my style, but it's very relaxing after a diffucult or tiring day. 6/
fuesch
I love falling asleep listening to Muse albums. It's awesome, you doze off to the music and half wake up to the music. Falling Down is so wonderfully floaty, a great song to listen to when half asleep. It's one of those songs that sound like drifting (this one not in space, though), which makes it a great soundtrack to drifting between being awake and asleep. It's so cozy. Oh I totally agree. i love falling asleep to music of any sort but Muse is the ebst to half wake up to in the middle of the night. For something different, the other the night I went to sleep with my iphone not on shuffle and as I was drifting off Sing for Absolution played. I woke up about thirty minutes later to Take A Bow (then turned my iphone off to conserve batteries) And falling down is a wonderful song to half wake up to because as you said its so relaxing and mellow and as you put it - cozy. Aussie Muser
Cave - Oh my God this song is fantastic. It's a very raw and emotive song. The riff is awesome and the piano in the verses and chorus is very powerful which is impressive considering how heavy the rest of the instruments are. The vocals are very good too - I especially love the backing vocals in this one - (you know, just for something different ) and the absolute desperation with which Matt sings "Come in my Caaaaaaaaaaaaave!!!!!" Once again however the thing that takes this song to another level is the absolutely beautiful bridge section with that wonderful piano solo. I've said many times before that this is my favourite Muse piano solo - well now I'm going to tell you why. Not that there's many piano solos in Muse songs anyway, let's face it, there's Cave, AP, RBS, B&H, CD and CP. But still Cave has so much emotion and power in it's solo and yet is so simple. What makes it so good though is the second half when the bass and guitar come back in and the key changes ever so slightly from the minor chord to the major chord. (I don't know which chord it is, can anyone help me there?) Anyway this solo/outro part just enhances what is already a wonderful song. Absolutely terrific song. Almost forgot, live this song is not nearly as powerful - only because if they played it live, it should be like CE where they play guitar and then finish off on the piano for the last bit. Still, I am glad they have brought it back live and keep my fingers crossed they will play it in December. 10/
fuesch
Wooo, Cave \o/! My album favorite. I don't even know what else to say about it. The problem is that at first you have thoughts, but then you get so used to the songs and all those thoughts that were new once just get lost. Let me think... Um, well, it's sounds kind of doomy. I like doomy sounding Muse songs. Oh yeah, my favorite bits are "Caaaaaaaaaaaave" (especially the last one) and the outro: the calm piano followed by doomy (Have I mentioned that I love me some DOOOOOOM!?), powerful guitar. Eargasm. I like the mix of piano and guitar in a song in general. Mmm. Oh and talking about piano. ! I love it. And I feel ridiculously lucky that I got to hear the it at both gigs that I went to last year. miss_meadows
Oh, Cave, one of my favourites of the Showbiz album! I just love it, it rocks. I love the guitar and Matt's screaming. The lyrics are quite interesting as well. fuesch, get out of my brain, you stole the words/thoughts right out of my head:LOL:
dontask
very much like falling down, its very non-muse style and I dont listen to it as much as I probably should but the chorus is unbelievable, especially considering it isnt a single-style chorus in the mould of TIRO etc. probably give it about a 7/10. HenryW7
I don't really like Cave. Its ok, but not the best on showbiz. Showbiz > Escape > Muscle Museum > Uno > Unintended > Falling Down > Hate this and love you > Cave 4.5/10 (the best bit is the outro)

Nooo dont move on yet Cave is a great song and it was awesome to know that they played it yesterday, i know that isnt such a rarity becuse they have already played it this year (am i right?) but its a great song!! And its good to know they are making some changes in the setlists! I think "Come in my caaaaaaaaaave" is just... all the emotion in Matts voice!! "and i'll burn your heart away"!! Give me a bit of chills! And the beginning its so unique! I really like this song! So plenty of love from me as you can see;) 8-8.5/10 (did i miss falling down discussion?)
