gnOmegaRed Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Does anyone know where I can still get a new copy of HyperMusic EP? I ordered it online at Amazon and they said they cant get it anymore. I haven't been able to find anywhere else that has it for sale. Thanks

Niall Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 There isn't such a thing. Only the various Hyper Music single CDs or the Japanese 3CD set if that's what you mean.
gnOmegaRed Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 There isn't such a thing. Only the various Hyper Music single CDs or the Japanese 3CD set if that's what you mean. The Japanese 3CD set is the one I'm interested in, which I assume is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Hyper-Music-Muse/dp/B00005Q84Q/ref=sr_1_3/104-8018581-9346351?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1181129686&sr=8-3
hyper_chondriac_muser Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 the Hyper Music Box was on eBay not so long ago sealed selling for like £50 or something which isn't bad. I'll try and find it if it's still around/hasn't been sold... In the meantime this is what is inside... http://www.musewiki.org/Hyper_Music_%28box_set%29 wiki <3
medusa_ c Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 so basically it's a set with the 3 cd singles,new born bliss and feeling good/hyper music.and £50 isn't bad.riiiight
hyper_chondriac_muser Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 so basically it's a set with the 3 cd singles, new born bliss and feeling good/hyper music.and £50 isn't bad.riiiight It isn't bad simply because it's so rare and you won't find it for much cheaper. I personally wouldn't get it cos I have all the CDs and tracks but for someone desperate to buy it I doubt they'll find it for much cheaper.
Niall Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 It really, really isn't that rare. I got mine for £16 a few months ago. Search harder, use google. It's likely there are some for less than £20 online. I hate this culture of rarity hysteria that's grown up around actually common CDs when it comes to Muse. CD singles from a few years ago selling for £20 and the like.

CD singles from a few years ago selling for £20 and the like. I guess I'm crap at searching. Yeah most 'Cave' CD singles (and a few others) sell for around £20 which is a bit ridiculous to be honest. I'm intrigued by the cheap-ness of thhis box, I think I'll search harder just for the hell of it lol.
hyper_chondriac_muser Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Okay I had no luck whatsoever. I think I'm just crap at searching for this stuff cos Google never shows me anything of use. So I end up wasting all my money on eBay instead
Niall Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 http://www1.gemm.com/item/MUSE/HYPER--MUSIC/GML12395681/ £17.99 http://www.rhis.co.uk/cgi-bin/cart.pl?db=rev.dat&category=Muse&merchant=rev £28.99 http://www.keymailorder.com/cgi-bin/keymail.pl?term=&format=cd&page=113&letter=m&fields=1&date=&dbfile= £24.99 http://www.cdexpress.com/php/gettrackinfo.php?arart=8495224&supp=ecl $68.50 http://www.101cd.com/detail.aspx?productid=1464550 £23.99 So take you pick anyone who's looking
hyper_chondriac_muser Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I don't know how you do it. Edit: I also don't know how your username (and sig) sometimes change between square and the other shape thingy. It's freaky lol. Okay i'll be leaving now....
sexmachineguns Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards =) I just wanted someone to clarify the meaning behind the title of Hyper Chondriac Music. The way I see it, there's two possible meanings - either "hypochondriac" meaning someone suffering intensely under stress, fear, and anxiety about becoming terribly sick, or "hypochondriac" as in the lower part of the abdomen, implying "Gutty" music. Thanks!
Niall Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 I really don't think this is an official meaning but I thought it had over-reacting connotations - it seems like remorseful version of Hyper Music, as in HCM is a regretful repetition of the over-the-top lyrics in HM.
Raptor Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I think it is supposed to be some kind of an opposite to Hyper Music, witch is about hating someone very much, so the other on is just supposed to be something really nice or something like that...
Nimpo46 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards =) Thanks! no problem
Davey25 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 One of the best songs Muse have done IMO:happy:
static shadows Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Hyper Music was so good they felt they could release it in two different forms. And thus it was so, and there was much rejoicing Seriously though, I wouldn't get hung up over the title too much. It's called that so it can be distinguished from Hyper Music whilst changing as few letters as possible! Welcome to the board btw
Murtain Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 One of the best songs Muse have done IMO:happy: Not one of the best, but for sure one of my favourites
Davey25 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Not one of the best, but for sure one of my favourites Spose there is no, 'best' song. They all good. But HCM is different. Why I like it
Murtain Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Spose there is no, 'best' song. They all good. But HCM is different. Why I like it I find it really depressing, Matt's voice in the beginning and then the loud scream "I DONT LOOOOVE YOUOOO!!" But it's just so great :D
Madam Harkonnen Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 One of my favourite tracks My feelings about it from last year (and they haven't changed)... When the sun goes supernova and scorches the Earth to a lifeless crisp, devouring everyone and everything that I ever loved before expanding to consume the barren sphere and leaving me to drift through the universe with nothing but my memories for company? This is the song I'll stick on the sound system of my shiny silver spaceship, with the "repeat" box ticked and the volume turned up to 11.
Raiko Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Definately better than Hyper Music. But I don't think it's technically feasible live, and Megalomania is just as good an album closer, so it had no room on OoS sadly.
ApocalypsePleasure2 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Definately better than Hyper Music. But I don't think it's technically feasible live, and Megalomania is just as good an album closer, so it had no room on OoS sadly. The original Hyper Music completely owns HCM mainly due to the funky albeit powerful bass.
illuminatus Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I find it really depressing, Matt's voice in the beginning and then the loud scream "I DONT LOOOOVE YOUOOO!!" But it's just so great :D The depressing sound IMO is what makes the song immense.
