Museic07
No, I'm not personal friends with the band and brought the home for tea Musically, ever done this? My parents liked them, in places, but tried to relate them to bands of their era, they claimed that they sounded like Ultravox
Duckie!
I don't I should. If mom says one of them is hot/sexy that would just be an"EEEWWWWWW" moment........
Lo
I've been listening to them for so many years now, One of my many Muse made CDs is nearly always playing in the car or when I come home so it was only a matter of time. My Mum's now coming to Wembley, my Dad would have but he's off to Le Man that weekend they saw them for the 1st time last year. I did tell her though we'd probably leave her at the back somewhere, don't think she's one for getting squished amoungst the crowd.
XXXXCRCXXXX
I tried to get my parents to listen to them, but when you have a mum who's fave groups are the scissor sisters and girls aloud, and a dad who will only listen to tina turner:eek: it doesn't go down too well. OnlyHappyWhenItRains
Well considering my dads taking me to Wembley i thought it was best to let him know what the music was like, his opinion was very postive actually:D In places! The mother, well thats simply a big NO!
seregon
Well I actually discovered Muse at the exact same moment my parents did we were driving in the car when TIRO came on the radio and we all liked the song. I of course got addicted straight away within a month was highly obsessive and have been going on about them ever since, so my parents have had to suffer their music but both claim to like them though I'm not entirely convinced though I have played more of their music to my mum more recently, even Microcuts which she happily sang along too and is now wanting to see them live I think thats just her being strange though
knshorty240
My dad actually started listening to Muse about 4 years ago, and he introduced me to their music. It's quite interesting actually - he always played their CDs at home/car and their concert DVDs and then he gave me the CDs to listen to, and now I'm obsessed . . . deadbeat dolly
my mum's only properly heard SMBH and she quite liked it. apart from the odd song me or my sister introduce to her she generally has a rubbish taste in music. in the car she usually plays bryan ferry and phil collins-era genesis :pope:
thecitizeneraser
My mom really likes them. Or at least what she's heard. My dad, however, likes them only a little even though he took me to the Muse concert. He prefers Jimmy Buffett
cheese on toast
My whole family likes Muse - my brother, my sister, my mum, my dad, my aunt, my uncle, my nan. . .it's crazy. Although they all admit I'm the biggest fan out of them
alys
My brother introduced Muse to my mum. And me, for that matter. She's not embarassing about it though. At least I don't think.
emilya
I had a breakthrough last night - my dad put BH&R on completely of his own accord. I still get the eye roll when muse comes up in conversation, but I'm getting there!
Sarah_L
I introduced my mom to Muse, and she's very impressed by them. When we went to see them during the MCR tour, she was amazed that Matt could play the piano well . Now whenever I don't practice she says "Don't you want to play like the guy in Muse? You should!" . winno
My dad doesn't really pay attention when I have it on in the car. But whenever I listen to Muse my mother always comments on how she can only hear Matt's loud breathing.
Ellie.B
Everytime i mention muse to my dad i get a lecture on how they are a modern version of led zep./the beatles etc. so i avoid that When i mention it to my mum its 'you just like that bellamy boy' and when i mention muse to my brother its usually 'they're rubbish and you know it' so muse is not exactly a hot topic within my family

Lizzypeas
I don't care what my mum thinks, but if she's in my car and any of my music's on, she always says "Thank god for that" when I turn the engine off!! Doesn't matter what it is - she's old and very naive! My brother is the one I can convert very easily - he has no mind of his own when it comes to music - except Evanescence, but I need an exorcist to rid him of that obsession!!
