another post for invincible:

like i allready wrote it hit me live

so after this brilliant livegig i whittled some pics and lyrics and sticked them on a museposter. of course only lyrics from bh&r

and the only song who had the honour to get in the whole on it was invincible...

who was the brave fan who admitted the she/he cried when she/he heard it live?

stroke

i cried too

so may the lyrics be 'cheesy' (they are not), may there be much better solos (of course there are...), i give a big shit about the musictheoretical analysis

its just a song, that can hit you, if you're 'cheesy' enough

and im waving to every fan who is lucky to get enthused by any 'cheesy' musesong

now hate me if it pleases you...:D

did you swallow a sarcastic-pill?

No.

That is absolute truth! Hoodoo is a beautiful song. When played live it's a bit below standard but that's understandable really when the arrangements make it hard to play live (Morgan included), but on the album it's beautiful. It's also what that album very sorely lacks - piano.

Honestly. Compare both songs.

Which one is less cheesy? Hoodoo

Which one sounds better? Hoodoo

Which song is more powerful? Hoodoo

It owns Invincible by a long shot.

well...see...all the time i see your avi, i add an 'e' after 'hat' (sorry)

i see you as an very furious guy, who adores radiohead and never miss the chance to bite a stupid little (obsessed) musefans head off

so now im a little bit helpless

regarding to your post (if its really honest)

hoodoo is the better song, i would never disagree

but still im deeply moved when i listen to invincible

can't help it

My thoughts exactly.

If they put the guitar intro into the live version it would sound fantastic. The way they do it now they just sort of drift into it

I actually am connected with the Muse fanbase more than Radiohead's...but Radiohead are a better band by far. They are much more of an influence to me than Muse are.

Of course the post is bloody honest. I'm just confused as to how people how could see it as sarcastic.

And I saw Muse three nights in a row in November and never felt moved by Invincible once. It's not as powerful as people say it is and if it were, it wouldn't sound exactly the same as the album version.

Change Hoodoo? No waaay...maybe a little bit more bombastic, but that's it. Hoodoo rocks.

Eternal life rocks even more though...:pope: (just thought I'd use this smiley. I like it)

That's what we've been saying. :)

Just add the god-damn strings and it's potentially brilliant.

As you all know we have a quite active anti-invincible movement on the forum! How can this be? Invincible is a great song. It has a great message and that breakdown riff and solo are great! It's the one song that shows the softer side of Muse on BH&R.

All invincible lovers: Stand together, cuz Together we're invincible!!!

Let the flaming/locking begin

:yesey: :yesey: :yesey: :yesey:

I LOVE INVINCIBLE

I don't get this hatred towards it!!!!!!!!!

Its a beautiful LOVE and FRIENDSHIP song.

Matt has such a lovely soul. makes me go all giddy

Mmm i saw people saying invincible as worst song on the album.. how about.. a soldiers poem?

Ditto

the lyrics, are just so.....amateur-poet-ish

This is what happens wen Matt writes lyrics first then music (he said this in interview, its one of the few songs that he has written and not started with music). Now he can learn from his mistakes.
