sumosasuke
Chances are you've probably already seen both stages on youtube so now is the time to vote! 3 towers or pyramid thing? Personally I'm going with the pyramid because it just feels so much more epic, the 3 towers thing i felt it tried to do the crowd involvement thing but failed. Plus, pyramid has a freaking UFO and a platform that extends out and over the mosh pit!!! Also, can people post why they prefer one over the other or neither? wasdax
Neither. I'd prefer them to play in front a blank white screen to be honest, it takes away from the important part of the gig; the music.
blinkin fightuse
Neither. I prefer the festival one. But i really like it when they just had a giant video screen behind them. It was good for visuals and not hard to see from any angle.
FearAndPanic
Pyramid, a lot more freedom that the towers. Really, all they need are Spinal Tap props, pods that don't open, a teeny tiny UFO to descend instead of Stonehenge.

Tom//P
The three towers for me. Although I never attended any of the gigs for the resistance tour, judging by the youtube videos it seems the band are only on the raised platforms for the mellow tracks and intro. Without them they'd be stationary anyway, so at least when they're raised the fans have a better view of them. For the 'rockier' tracks they are lowered and they can rock out as usual with the top part of the towers acting as screens. Plus I think the visuals for the towers are superior to the ones for the pyramid. Also the two screens for the pyramid are worse than useless. bILLOO
Any which means that they play a static setlist full of JUST the hits and some new songs from their latest album. One which means they only play 16 songs which must include Feeling Good, Guiding Light and extended Interlude.
FallAway
I feel like I'm being biased because I've actually seen they play on the towers, and I'm not going to attend any of the stadium shows this summer, but I loved the towers. They're not nearly as constricting because they're not on them for very many songs. I love how dramatic the towers are too, they're so exciting for someone who has never seen Muse before. A huge "wtf" moment when they appear from the middle of the towers at the beginning of their show. Although I havent seen ther pyramid, everything seems a little bit too choreographed for my taste. Honestly, give me a show with either though. I'm not that picky!
Tom//P
The intro's better with the towers. I feel it builds the tension more to know they are in the towers. Also 'We are the universe' is a great opener.
Bailey Essrog
Concerts for me are as much about the visual experience as they are for listening to the music. The towers were nice to look at, but I don't really care which production Muse goes with as long as they rock out properly. ... Anyway, when they return to the U.S. in the fall (presumably with the towers again) I do hope they bring some variety to the set lists. They've played Bliss, RbS, Cave, Sunburn and B&H during tower shows in the winter and spring, so I won't buy that the production gets in the way of song selection! Furygirl
I voted for towers, but really, I'd be fine with neither, or the festival setup. The pyramid stage is cool to look at, but based on what I've seen on YT, it looks too much like the band is inside an actual building. Or a parking garage, lol. Maybe it's different when you're seeing it in person, but it also seems like the way the front of the pyramid comes out over the stage, the band is so far away from the audience. SlaveToTheGrave
I went for neither, as my favourite is actually the HAARP set up. Enough spectacle to leave you open mouthed but not too much to take away from the band. The towers were good for allowing more fans to see them play but I think that the screens work better for that. I haven't seen the pyramid in person yet but despite it's grand aesthetics I much prefer a scaled down approach.
erasedxox
I saw them at the festival in Singapore and they didn't have the towers or the pyramids. It was perfect. Just them rocking out on stage without too many theatrical stuff getting in the way. So I would say neither the towers or pyramids.
MuseMelbourne
Nothing beats the classic HAARP stage setup And all you people saying stage setup takes away from the music.. it's all part of the show! The music is obviously amazing but theres so many different elements to a live performance. That's why we go to the shows instead of staying home and listening to the CDs
Howince
I'm going to have to go with the towers - for the atmosphere I haven't actually been to a gig yet, but I'm fairly sure we're getting the towers in Australia at the end of the year, and the Seattle myspace stream sufficiently blew my mind! As mentioned above, the start has such a great build up with we are the universe, and then they appear in the middle of them it's all And I wouldn't want to see Exo: Overture any other way, I think that song is matched to the towers perfectly! Luigi.
I say neither,my favorite stage set up is from the Absolution era.
Andre_idol
Neither. Festival set up. The images on the screens during MK Ultra are amazing! But between towers or pyramid I´d choose towers.
wombat_714
Well, I'm bias because I saw them live with the towers, so I picked towers. Although, I would like to see them without all the snazzy effects.
Lih
I'd much prefer the current festival set or the HAARP set The towers seem visually impressive but are a bit restrictive and the pyramid's visuals seem fairly boring.
hyper_chondriac_muser
I prefer the Wembley satellite set-up more than The Resistance-era stage set-ups lol. Between the two in the poll, the Pyramid looks cooler, imo, and it was a better show overall, but comparing stadium shows, I'd say HAARP is much better - in terms of stage design, songs, atmosphere... just everything about it was better, imo . I know I'll have a blast for Wembers this year, but I don't think it'll top the amazingness of HAARP .
xbroken_ideals
Towers. The pyramid is so fucking annoyingly huge and autimatically draws everyone's attention away from Muse themselves.
alternaterealities
I'm yet to see either in person, but I think I prefer the towers. The pyramid is just too over the top and, as others have mentioned, takes the focus off Muse. But in saying that, the pyramid seems to be less restrictive on the setlist. I prefer the set they've got for the festivals, or the one they had for BDO. Both don't seem too complicated and don't take the attention away from Muse. HAARP was an excellent set-up as well. watsername182
I haven't seen either in person as I saw the band at BDO this year but when I first saw footage of the towers it simply blew me away. The pyramid is epic but I'm really happy that Australia is getting the towers instead.
Deacon Blues
neither...the stage antics don't mean anything to me I like seeing big screens and lasers....the towers make it hard for them to move around which is where a lot of the energy comes from the muse show at SOMA was the most intense concert i've ever been to and there was nothing fancy at all for that show. Chocolate E. Clare
i preferred the HAARP set up to both, but theyd be just as good with out all the huge stage show stuff...of the two, i prefer the pyramid though, the towers looked a bit restricting
