'STAR' SHINES: Mixing art with science, Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)" bounds onto the Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts at Nos. 22 and 27, respectively. The song previews the soundtrack to "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," due June 8.

 

Muse's lofty Alternative Songs entrance marks the chart's highest debut since Thirty Seconds to Mars' "Kings and Queens" bowed at No. 20 on the Oct. 24, 2009, survey.

 

Muse ruled Alternative Songs in each of its last two chart visits. "Uprising" spent 17 weeks at No. 1 beginning in September, and "Resistance" led for four weeks in March and April.
