The instrumental 'Prelude' was played for the first time in Poland at the MUSE gig in Krakow on 22 June 2019.  It features the melody from Frederic Chopin's Etude Op. 10 No. 3 in E Major which the composer reportedly believed to be his most beautiful.  Chopin was born in the village of Zelazowa Wola 300km north of Krakow and about 50km west of Warsaw where his heart is interred at the Holy Cross Church.

MUSE have now played six gigs in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, and Gdynia/Gdansk) - two arena shows and four festival gigs. The Resistance with 'Collateral Damage' based on Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 in E-Flat Major and The 2nd Law with 'Prelude' are the band's biggest selling albums in that country both having been certified GOLD by ZPAV for over 10K copies sold.

Matt has played snippets of 'Collateral Damage' and Chopin's 'Ocean' Etude Op 25 No 12 at several gigs in France where Chopin moved to after the November Uprising (1830-31). Chopin's body is buried in Paris at the Pere Lachaise cemetery.   Incidentally, Matt and Chopin share the same height of 5'7" or 170.2 cm.
