Tofu
Doesn't this thread belong in the K&T section? Probably, but I almost never go there because I have a weird pathological fear of the place.
treee
imagine a 12 string bass - that would be cool
Cyndris
imagine a 12 string bass - that would be cool Lol, 6string bass is rare, why would you want 12 string. It's kinda hard to play too, 'cause most of the time you'll want to use your fingers, and 2 strings simultaneous is pretty hard with fingers I guess. Oh well

rockandroll
Sorry this is probably a bit late but is that thing on the top neck a tapping mute or a fixed speed capo?
Phil.
Sorry this is probably a bit late but is that thing on the top neck a tapping mute or a fixed speed capo? Just a mute I imagine, what with all of the tappery-slidery-sustainery jizz.
Phill
what i don't understand is, that tone he uses through the fretless part, there's a patch on the KP2 which sounds very similar. He could just use an XY guitar and use the neck and sustainer for one part and the MIDI screen for the other part...

Phill
yeah but if you can hear it well in your monitors and you can hear what you're playing on the other neck it shouldn't be too hard to harmonize the two.

I think it would still be harder than playing with a fretless neck. I guess that is why he dropped playing that theremin like sound on the XY pad in invincible, because it is a little more difficult than one would think. I assume, anyway. hooglebug
surely its just because he's a 'rockstar' and it looks good on stage. im sure it'll never see the inside of a studio. its only like girls aloud or someone changing costumes every song
