Guest djss
I'd love to play neutron star collision on the piano as soon as I'm home. Anybody found some clue's on how to play it? This guy has it quite figured out: edit: Sheet music found, go here: http://www.muselive.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=46924&n=last#bottom

Epona99
The only decent part of the song is the one they borrowed from someone else I don't usually go in these threads because I don't really play an instrument, just sing. I am hoping one of you can explain this. The wiki says the outro is from Rachmaninoff's Adagio Sostenuto , but I have listened to several versions of that on Youtube and I and do not hear this outro in there. Can someone point me to another version where it can be clearly heard? or is the wiki wrong perhaps?
lily93
or is the wiki wrong perhaps? What? Nonsense, wiki's are fact and edited by God himself.

Sounds very similar only a bit slower... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAK2J05Vmhc Thanks, I listened up to 3:30 (and this is not any different than what I listened to before) then listened to NSC, then went back to 2:20 and listened again and I'm sorry, but you can't tell me this is the same music. It must be some other Rachmaninoff or maybe just maybe , could it be Bellamy? so , I'm already hunting down music geeks at the university where I work
acshe
I was told that this one: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/m/muse/neutron_star_collision_acoustic_crd.htm would work okay. Haven't tried it though... As for the end, it's definitely a variation of the Adagio Sostenuto. @Epona99 The chords are almost the same, just a bit of added arpeggios and decorations. By the way, I can clearly hear the resemblance...

michael-r-j
C# F# C# G#m C# Fm F# A C# i'm pretty sure thats the end bit, just arpeggiate and add play some octaves along with the chords. I'm not sure of the start but the main chords seem to be F#, F#dim7/A, C#, Fm
Epona99
from a friend who got it from Muselive and I have since got my hands on the score for Rachmaninoff's piano concerto in C minor, even considering that it's in a different key, I see nothing in the piano section that looks like these

The chord changes are not the same, take the first movement for example you can clearly hear space dementia and meglomania even though it isn't the same on paper it sounds just like it. But i can't hear it here, maybe matt was inspired by it but he's been playing that since 2003 and I haven't heard anyone say anything about it then.
