I love the opening wind chimes sounds ( I'm a sucker for windchimes) and I love how Screenager calms one down after so many heavier songs before launching into Darkshines. It's kind of like taking a deep breath before plunging back underwater. :)

Newsflash!

I totally just managed to work out how "screenager" relates to someone spending too much time in front of a tv/computer screen...

I'm so proud

Definitely an underrated song. Both the lyrics and instrumentation are haunting. It does sound very different to the rest of OOS, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.

:yesey: The way it's in contrast to the rest of the album makes it especially powerful (in its own way) I think.

Screenager is one of my favourite Muse songs! Waaaay too underrated. And I agree with laurenn1 and Travis III... its uniqueness makes it especially powerful and haunting.

The live piano version with the intro/outro is amazing. If you haven't heard it, do it now!!!

Easily one of Muse's best songs (the number of times that's been said on the boards!). I mean it though. It, RBS, and Hoodoo are all incredibly powerful building songs that actually contain, subtlety.

The Hullabaloo tab book. You can buy it from amazon, the muse shop etc. or the scans from microcuts.net

I'm torn. Screenager's good fun to play on piano, but the R&L guitar version destroys older versions of this song. :erm:

Thankfully the R&L version is good fun to play on guitar as well :awesome:

A great track indeed, so intimate and personal. It would be nice if they made another track like that on a future album...
