I don't, it's equally as good as much of the rest of OoS. The piano versions from 2002 were immensely good .

The album version should have been played on piano. It is a good song, its just not as heavy/fast as the rest of OoS which is why some people have decided its shit. Its far better than most of Muse's other slower songs

I love screenager. Although I can understand that it does not follow quite the other songs in Origin of symmetry.

I don't hate it I just find it very difficult to listen too after the first seven songs on the album it just makes me feel uncomfortable, on its own though its a very respectable song and the live version on Hullaballoo is amazing

One of the best songs on OoS, I think. I will never understand why people hate it so.

I think that sums up what I think of it too. It just doesn't feel right to put it there after seven pretty heavy songs in a row.

It's an excellant song but I used to skip it because it never sounded right after the rest of OoS. Took me ages to actually appreciate it.

Since when did people hate Screenager?:stunned:

I for one think it's a beautiful song.

I love Screenager, in fact I prefer Screenager to Megalomania. One of my friend put all songs of Oos except Screenager. And still it makes me wonder.:stunned:

I'd have to agree with everyone else really, it is a strange place to put a slow song and when i listen to OoS having that song after 7 heavy songs just makes me wonder why because i find it hard to listen to after that.

I think the problem lies with the tracklisting itself.

1. Space Dementia

2. New Born

3. Bliss

4. Screenager

5. Hyper Music

6. Plug In Baby

7. Citizen Erased

8. Micro Cuts

9. Dark Shines

10. Feeling Good

11. Megalomania

Had the above been the album tracklisting, Screenager would have worked as a good break between the heavier material. Either way you look at it though, it's a great song!

To be honest, I don't really see the first 7 tracks as "heavy". I mean, they technically are, but to me they're... not. 'Cept for Hyper Music. Explained that well, didn't I?

I don't think Screenager sticks out at all, the whole of OoS is kinda dark and twisted to me, no matter what amount of heaviness - Screenager fits in perfectly; it has the creepy guitar and the bones, it's all about the mood

I think it's a good song. It's not the song I most like of the album, but it's good ;)

it's not the greatest song, but it is really nice to listen to when you want to chill out, you just have to be in that mood, a screenagery type mood!

Yes exactly, you have to be in the mood to listen to it, in my opinion anyway!:D

 Some people don't like screenager! After Hyper Chondriac Music its my favourites of their slow/dark/melodic songs (or whatever you want to call it).

Nah, guitar version ftw. :yesey:

lol well, in response to any quetioning why I though people hated Screenager in the first place, it's because when I got here, I saw a few people bashing the song, and just assumed that was the common feeling towards it here.

Anyways, I personally believe it fits just fine with the rest of the album... sure, it's slower, but I think it's beautiful. Plus, the mood is set right along with the rest.
