 You'll find a group of birds like that at every concert, not sure what they're thinking wearing that in a pit. Not sure if she was being a biatch or not, but someone should have 'accidentally' hoisted her up and sent her crowd surfing. That woulda taught her real good.

Attention? Hoping it will get them noticed by the crew and an invitation backstage after the show? Like you said, there's a group at every gig. :indiff:

That's how we handle shit in Delaware.

Note to self, don't piss off Triple C. ;)

Prudential Center Security officially sucks. They promised they would give a special scrapbook I made for the guys to their production team. Wouldn't let anyone take "large" gifts inside, so I had no choice but to give it to them.

I tweeted to Chris about it and we tweeted back and forth to eachother about 4 times over the past few days as he tried to track it down. Turns out he contacted the Production Office and they didn't have it. Chris thinks it may have been stolen. I'm thinking Security just never gave it to them. Who the heck steals a scrapbook??!?!

I'm so enraged. But also so grateful to Chris for actually giving a damn and going out of his way for a fan just to try to find my gift. (What a sweetie!) Still cried for a good 20 minutes about it though... what a waste of time and energy! :'( I have a video of the scrapbook I had made to show to friends that I've been tweeting to him. Hopefully he'll watch it!

Sorry for that. I just needed to rant somewhere about it. This thread seemed like a good place to do so

Awww, I am so sorry to hear this. {{hugs}} More than likely the security asses put it aside and forgot about it, which really does suck after promising to pass it along. :supersad: Kudos to Chris for following-up on its whereabouts and letting you. That is very cool of him.

btw, if the security guy you gave it to is the same guy in Kevin's pic that gave him the beer, he's also the same guy that told me to stop recording during MWAH.

but still, I'm gutted that security never gave it to them. That's just retarded. Someone I met said that the security have been pricks at every show they've seen at PruCenter, and that even if another band they love plays there they're not going.

It is the same guy, actually! So much for him being awesome (in my opinion)... :erm::LOL:

I e-mailed the Prudential Center the day after the show (when the told me they give gifts to the production team). Well I just e-mailed them back (as nicely as possible) to tell them how disappointed I am and linked to Chris' tweet as evidence that the gifts weren't given to the band's production team (I mean, Chris spent like 2 days trying to track this thing down for me. If someone who worked for them had gotten it, he would have known about it!)

I wonder what their reaction will be when they see that I have evidence from an actual member of the band that the gift wasn't passed along  I'm interested to see what their excuse will be ;)

Definately never going to the Prudential Center again (not that I would anyway... it was a 7.5 hour busride to get there!). Very nice-looking venue, but this experience has turned me off of them for good!

HAHA Flying Matt. Great image. ;)

Oh, I remember you and your dad! :D But yeah, actually we wanted to get a group pic together since we had just met after the concert for the first time and may not ever meet again. Memories and stuff. :) I'm not entirely sure how we ended up on the truck actually, but I'm guessing one of the crew let us pose on it since we made him take a pic for us. Nice of him.

here's the photo, btw... XD http://twitpic.com/30syna

:)

I have been going crazy...ever since you were there with your ukulele, ive seen about 5 of them at school throughout the week. Makes me want to learn it. They're so fun.\

That sucks. Theyre must be some real asses working there, I mean did you see the post about the stolen tickets? I would be suprised if they even wrote back. Good luck though, hope its just laying around somewhere and they forgot to give it to them so you could atleast get it back to try at a different venue in the future.

Haha, yeah, I didn't want to say anything since Kevin seemed so happy... Anyway.... I hope your email makes them feel bad enough for them to actually DO something about it, but I doubt it, sad as it is...

Haha, wow. It's funny how infections ukuleles are. Once they start, they don't stop! It is extremely fun, and I love how portable they are. Fun EVERYWHERE.

I just saw the tweets from Chris and it made me so sad! Your scrapbook was so cool and I could see how much work you put into it. Who the hell would steal that? Probably just someone being a jackass, stealing it for stealing's sake.

I don't know why, but for some reason I thought someone asked Tom after the gig and he said they got it? I must be confused with something else ... I could have sworn hearing something about it and being really happy for you, but maybe I just imagined it.

Anyhow, really, really sorry. That sucks. I really thought that guy was going to come through. Fingers crossed it was just miscommunication and it turns up.

 I wish someone had told Tom about it! That would have probably made this all work out better. :(

Yeah part of me is still holding out a sliver of hope that it's SOMEWEHRE. I even actually e-mailed Muse's management about it, but linked them to Chris' tweets so they know that he was legit trying to find it. I was just like "If anyone knows anything about it, could you somehow contact Chris or one of the other guys?"

I mean, by the time they get that e-mail, they'll all be home for a month anyway. But maybe somehow during that month off it will turn up? Not holding my breath though  I've been let down way too much to get my hopes up. :noey:

Oh well. Maybe if I go to Lolla this summer (assuming Muse is there) I can try for barrier on Chris' side and have a sign that says "I was the girl with the scrapbook!" and see if he remembers me

It's totally possible it was put on their gift table like they said but the guys left so fast... so it was left behind and then thrown away. :erm: Well, at least we know who to give stuff to now! Their escorts! ;) Aaaand, if you're real lucky, they might come give you a gift in return after they hand it off before the show (Eri and I got picks from Dom and Chris at Charlottesville, woo!)

I havent popped my head in this thread for a few days, but are there any sweet pictures of them performing CE? My pictures are so blurry and crappy and I'm looking for one to put as my phone's background.

OK, I finally got around to uploading them. If I could remember how to mask in photoshop I could lighten up a few places to make it look better, but to be honest I'm not a big fan of editing gig photos. I like them to be exactly as I took them. Which in this case isn't that great. I only shot three during CE, real quick, because I didn't want to detract from my enjoyment of the song. Good enough for posterity:

Eri told me about that... you guuys are SO lucky! Ugh now I know A. never to waste that much time money and energy on something like that ever again and B. don't trust security! I know you soid there's a cchance it may have been left behind, but either way the Prudential Center flat-out lied to me in their email when they said they gave gifts to the production team

Oh well... at least Chris knows it exists and was nice enough to go ouut of his way to try to find it... A real sweetie! Still though... if you gave me the choice of having an extended Twitter convo with Chris that ended in disappointment or knowing they got the gift but never hearing from them directly, I think everryone knows what I'd choose... :erm:

I need to stop complaining about this  It just CRUSHED me and made me so upset :( Oh well. Life goes on...

You don't have to stop complaining if you don't want, I think most of us can understand your disappointment. I saw the scrapbook so I know you put a huge effort in. And it really seemed like security was going to come through for you. I mean, it is possible they tried to and just put it in the wrong place, or there was some miscommunication ... or someone may have just swiped it. Whatever happened, it surely is sad. I know how I would feel if I did a painting and gave it to them and it got lost. :(

One thing I would disagree with on is when you say you'd never waste time doing something like that again ... I don't think it was a waste of time, just an unfortunate end. The book itself was, I think worth your energy, and you should be proud of it. I think the guys would have appreciated it had they gotten it, too. Not that that helps, but ... :$. Just saying it was a superb effort that deserved a better fate, and you shouldn't be discouraged from doing more cool, creative things in the future.

I see what you're saying, and I appreciate your nice words (And I'm glad you thought the scrapbook was cool! :) I wish I knew who you were  I feel like there were a bunch of people checking out the scrapbook while I chilled near the line)

This just basically crushed me like you wouldn't believe. I cried on and off all day as soon as I found out the guys never got it, and I even randomly cried last night about it too (Hysteria came on, I heard the bass, thought of Chris, and somehow that led to tears... Hahaha! Grief is definately irrational). And then someone I know was making some comments about how they don't actually think Chris gave a damn about the scrapbook (which I realize makes no sense at all, considering all the Tweets) but it started putting all these doubts in my head (Chris being so cool about it is the only tiny sliver of consolation out of all this... but then someone had to go and try to crush that) and made me feel even WORSE :noey:

No tears so far today, thankfully, but I still just feel gutted every time I see any little left over scraps of paper lying on the floor of my room or look at the scissors and markers sitting on my desk and remember all the hours I spent working on that thing *sigh*

*raises hand like in the boyscouts* I swear that that's the last time I'll rant extensively about the scrapbook  I might make a few passing comments now and again, but I will no longer dedicate full posts to complaining. I know you guys understand, but it's still not fair to you guys!

Goodbye, Muse Pictionary Scrapbook... Gone but Not Forgotten! <3 (Haha. Okay, that was lame.)

I'm trying to look on the bright side. I got to hear frickin CITIZEN ERASED at my first Muse concert ever, Chris at least knows about the scrapbook's existence, and I got to have an actual "conversation" with him (although I wish it were under different circumstances ) which I never dreamed would happen.

Okay, and now to keep it happier and more relevent...

Here's my best quality vid I got at the concert, picture-wise (I was in the balcony, so none of them are very good ) If you want to see the rest though, they're on my youtube page.

I didn't get any good close-up pics, obviously, but I got some decent far-away ones of the stage... But they still came out kinda blurry :erm: Here they are if anyone cares to look!

Yeah it did draw a crowd in queue! I'm pretty generic-looking so it'd be hard to identify myself, but I have a brown ponytail, about 5-6, kind of skinny. I was the one who randomly identified the picture of Dez Bryant, I think it was? Even though I totally don't follow football so I don't know where that came from. And earlier I pointed to the CIT scan on the Citizen Erased one and was like "Map of Your Head!!!" Fail. I was at the front of the line with Eri, Haley and Catherine.

Your pics are cool ... I love the first one. Only bad thing about barrier is not being able to get real good view of just how spectacular those towers are. I look forward to checking out the vid when I get home; my work computer won't really play them.:(

I remember you! I was so impressed that you knew who he was :p (When my friend Melania used that one during an actual Pictionary game everyone had to Google it ) Is it sad that I literally have every Pictionary from that scrapbook memorized? Dez-steroid-em-ono-chris-why > (y)... Assassin :awesome::LOL:

And yes, the towers were definately amazing and spectacular! Part of me is happy that my first Muse show I got to take in the whole "spectacle" and such...

But this summer at Lolla (which I'm like 80% sure I'm going to, as long as Muse is there) it's barrier or gtfo for me! I can't imagine how amazing it must be to be up close! Plus, maybe the universe will balance out the scrapbook for me and let me get a pick or something  (Or I could make a "I was the girl with the lost scrapbook!" sign and see if it sparks Chris' memory :chuckle:)

The vid really isn't anything special, but feel free to watch anyway  It's the end of SS + the riffage :)

That's how I saw my first Muse show!:D I've seen 'em from plenty of angles now. Barrier is definitely addictive ... you can see so many little nuisances of the bands performance and I LOVE that. But I'm glad I've gotten to see a couple (including one at a stadium show) from farther back because 1) the sound is better, if you're really into sound quality, which I sort of am and 2) the spectacle is just jaw-dropping. But barrier is ... just ... well, I am sure you will find out at Lolla.:awesome:
