snarkycat
SS. This is so not fair I was hoping that some redeeming factor might turn up somewhere but a 15 song setlist is just wrong.

Lih
They didn't do this short of a gig for festivals I don't think The festivals got 13-17 songs (I think) - usually around 15 actually but without Helsinki Jam
Gigapoodle
14-15? But the fact that a full Muse gig is getting almost the same amount as a festival gig is just wrong. I mean really?

Butrphli
Yes, even though it was a good, although lack luster performance, it was super short. The crowd was pretty mellow...the occasional mosh pit, and crowd surfers did make an appearance, but I was front and center for the show show and didn't get pushed out of my spot. And I thought it was sold-out but when we got in and seats started filling up the place had a lot of empty seats. When it was over I was very shocked. Little upset that we sat outside in the 100+ degree heat all day and got a short set...but I got to see MUSE, so it was still worth it....I think And they played a lil Deftones (Sacramento Band) so that was pretty cool. JessicaSarahS
Show sucked last night. Aside from the shitty line fiasco, the band had little, to no energy, especially when compared to the epic Anaheim and LA #2 shows. I think they were tired and could have been bummed to see so many empty seats after just playing to a huge arena like Staples. I know I was. The entire top tier and the section behind the stage was covered with black curtains. I tried to be energetic, but I wasn't getting anything back, so I pretty much stopped trying and stood there . It was my little sister's first Muse show. She was so excited to see them and thought it'd be an amazing show, but no. We were both disappointed. She almost cried after the show because it was short and it was that bad. The arena was small, so they had to cram the stage into it. The pillars seemed to overlap. What may have been a good barrier spot at the So Cal gigs sucked for this show. We were on Chris' side and couldn't see Matt or Dom at the beginning. Dom ended up raising his pillar a bit after they had just lowered it, to see the crowd. We only saw Matt on our side once in TiRo, whereas at the other shows, we had a good view of him at his mic stand and he'd jump and run all over the stage. This time, none of that. It really sucks to end my CA shows with this one. I've never been this disappointed in Muse.

I feel really sorry for the people who were at this gig... i would be upset to... i mean, when they played TiRO 6th i thought you guys might get an awesome surpride, but meh... it was a dull setlist. Butrphli
Don't blame Muse for this. Blame Arco Arena... I spoke to some of the crew after the show and they said Arco rushed Muse off the stage. They were not pleased with how it was handled at all. They said they had a lot of problems setting up the equipment because of poor communication from the Arco staff. The guy I spoke to said Muse had intended to play a longer set but were told later that their set time had to be chopped down considerably. Even stuff like no star spangled banner, and no house of the rising sun riffs. Also, the Arco acoustics are so poor that they couldn't go to their usual volume. Everything had to be turned down to accomodate the venue. The guy seemed pretty frustrated with them. If that's really the case, then that SUPER SUX, and we can expect MUSE to never come to Sacramento again. =o( Unless they do an amphitheater show out in Marysville...which I doubt. Total bummer. Wish funds would have been available for me to go to the So Cal shows as originally planned.

MoodyJ
JoeyMuck Muse is now playing buble's "feeling good" #mindblown Bingo! I know this is late, but that tweet completely cracks me up, especially as Muse released their version four years before Buble did.
