Im thinking of making the drive over for this. Im at college in the U.P. of Michigan, just saw Muse in Detroit during the month of March. That was my third Muse show, and they just keep getting better. Im considering hitting St Paul and then Milwaukee before my trip back to the Yoop.

I'll be at the front of G.A. Singing every song out of key and proud of it.

Can't even explain how excited I am...aaaaahhhh!

The only thing I don't like about this is the venue. Target Center sucks.

So I haven't purchased Muse tix through presale - could someone be so kind as to tell me how it works?

I am so there. Ive only seen one show here at Target Center and it sounded fine. Yeah it would be better if it were at Xcel Energy Center or best case First Ave, but at least they are gonna be in the Twin Cities. I dont see it selling out as fast as Chicago did, but I dont want to take any chances with GA floor selling out in minutes, so I will have to pay the damn fees and pay online presale.

:D:D:D:D:D Oh my god I'm so excited! I found out at school and I made myself sick to my stomach because I was so excited! I want to be in GA, but my mom says she has to come with and doesn't want GA, so I have to talk her into it. Also if the show before is on the 2nd that gives them 3 days, so they might possibly do CD signing or something at the Mall of America. I hope either Kasabian or Silversun Pickups opens, it would be awesome! BTW, Raining_Muses, if you read this, your post in my sig will come true!:awesome:

THIS SHALL BE MY FIRST MUSE GIG. I am so excited. I hope I can miss school for a bit on Wednesday for presale. If not I'll have to trust my mother with doing it, which I'm afraid of. BUT I'M SO EXCITED. My face got all red and I started shaking earlier when I found out  but in my defense, it is my first gig. :D

Metric is pretty awesome! Never heard PP.

Target Center is a bad place for a concert acoustically. I saw Prince there about 2 1/2 years ago and the sound was so bad I couldn't recognize half the songs from my seat about halfway up. But I plan to be on the floor for Muse, so maybe it won't matter.

But for me, even if they played Xcel or somewhere else, it still wouldn't beat front row at the State Theater several years back...INSANEEEEE!!!!

Well that sucks. Maybe the acoustics have been improved recently, you saw Prince 2 and a half years ago, which was quite a while back. I might not even notice the bad accoustics though. BTW, you had front row seats for the State Theater? Lucky...

Okay, so I found this on Target Center's website: http://www.targetcenter.com/default.asp?targetcenter=87&objId=779

Price: $45 for reserved (It's funny since my mom and sister are paying $175 each to see Lady Gaga reserved)

$55 general admission

Doors open at 6:30, starts at 7:30

General sale starts on Saturday, but we knew that.

Supporting Act: Passion Pit(?) BTW, Sleepyhead is the most annoying song EVER, the synths are good, but the singing is BAD.

"Muse, one of the most inventive and eclectic bands in rock today have just announced their long anticipated return to the Twin Cities on October 5th at Target Center. Touring in support of their recent blockbuster release The Resistance, Muse are vocalist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Christopher Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard. The English rockers are known for their innovative, energetic and extravagant live performances and once fans experience the sensational visuals and stage production, this is sure to be one of the most talked about shows of the concert season.

:awesome::awesome:

Joining Muse on tour are breakout artist Passion Pit who have been garnering much critical praise for their first full–length release Manners. Don’t miss your chance to see Muse with special guests Passion Pit live at Target Center on Tuesday October 5th at 7:30 p.m."

:awesome:

My brother got those State Theater tix online (paid A LOT apparently) - I liked the band at that time, but let me tell you, after that show it was all over for me  It was like being blasted in the face by a jet engine.

Thanks for the info about Target Center tix - I looked earlier today and they didn't have anything up yet. So do you think the presale info will be up tomorrow?

She's all paranoid that she'll get crushed or trampled. But she said that I can't get GA because if I get barrier I won't be able to see Muse, wich is BS, but I'm not giving up yet.:)

my camera sucks, but I got this pic

023.jpg

I could see fine except for Morgan, because I was on Matt's side

but if she is tiny or not very fit, her concerns about getting crushed may be valid, I did get shoved a bit, but no one moved me even an inch off my spot!

I was worried about having GA in Atlanta for the same reasons your mom mentioned. BUT, it was a breeze! It's looking like in general the GA pits in the U.S. crowds are generally a lot more tame than the ones in the UK/Europe. I guess that could be good or bad, depending on your perspective. Oh, and I had no trouble seeing at all from the barrier. I'm 5'5", so not tall. So tell her to man-up and sharpen her elbows! :p (well unless she's tiny and not fit, like Nicole says....)

there is some really awesome, sincere advice from ALL age groups in this thread on GA/Pit and What to expect http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=69344

the first page is mainly contributions from a couple "oldies" ;)

I can't wait for this gig! I went to the one in Las Vegas, NV and it was absolutely amazing. I'm planning on getting GA tickets this time round though but we'll see what happens. I'm tempted to go see them while they're in Milwaukee too :D The shame is that I'm from North Dakota and honestly I'm probably the only Muse fan in Grand Forks so it looks like I'll have to go by myself or something (EEK!) It would be awesome if I could meet up with a bunch of people or something, it would make it a lot cooler!
