bILLOO Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Nope. It's a terrible set. I've seen less cheese at the deli at my local Tesco.
Mozza Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Terrible? REALLY?? So if they would have played Bliss, a single different song, would that make the setlist good? nay, AWESOMEEE? would the inclusion of Citizen Erased REALLY make the gig for you aside from every other song that they played, and allow you to go home with your underware full of semen? seriously, how much of a fucking difference can one song really make to you people its hilarious! SURE, they didnt play any songs from the poll, thats pretty bullshit, but I fail to see how a single song can be the teetering point which decides the fate of the gig as a whole... It is like going out for a meal, the start was excellent, the main, superb, the pudding was absolutely divine, you were lavished with lovely drinks and the service in general was amazing, but when you went to the toilet mid way through the meal, to your dismay, one of the urinal soaps in the urinal was on the brink of being so small that if you were too piss to hard, it would be forced down the drain, and the urinal would be left naked without anything to cover up the stench of stale piss... And for that single reason, the meal was SHIT. REALLY? It's about having adventure. Playing essentially the same set as you wheeled out for 8 months with minor adjustments to the order and then just including two songs recently associated with a teen movie soundtrack (one of which is the current single) as well as including a song which was played at the start of the recent tour is really dull, it just shows musically a lack of consideration to spicing it up, especially when the fans have made it clear (via a poll the Muse set up) which old songs they'd really like to hear. It's just baffling that when Muse have such a huge back catalogue they instictively go back to the same old 17 songs over and over again even when they themselves are aware that the fans wanted MK Ultra, and then set up polls which conclusively proved the fans wanted Bliss and Citizen Erased. One new song, two old songs that were played reasonably frequently on the previous tour, hardly going for obscure b-sides and album tracks there and still not being included That said, good to see Take a Bow back but I just cannot see where they are going to drop songs to make any changes so I am assuming this will be the setlist for all the stadium shows, with only Guiding Light, Map and I Belong To You being taken out at any point (but still knowing Muse may not be replaced), and that is the reason for beef, because this happened at the Arenas and carried on for months with no resoultion.
Riveon Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 GLASTONBURY - Citizen Erased (6.14%), Assassin (5.21%) How the hell did that happen? Looks like no Assassin then.
fuzz8000 Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 How the hell did that happen? Looks like no Assassin then. you do know its out of the top 5 they said they would choose, not we will play the most voted for. but i guess we will see if it even really means anything at all..

My hopes have gone down a bit after that interview with "everyone wants to hear Citizen Erased." It's good they're bringing back that song, but the whole tone of that interview sounds to me that like they're not interested in actually playing many of these songs.

My theory is that they for whatever reason weren't expecting people to choose rarities. I think its more about pleasing the entire crowd to them more.. if you look at videos of the rare occasions they have played rarites the general crowd reaction (not barrier) is

Mozza Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 didn't stop them playing Cave in Europe. Seems to me like even the crowd reactions are choreographed
