dead-duck
Wow, so far it looks like I was at two of the smallest shows on the tour! March 3, 2010 1st Mariner Arena Baltimore, Md. $385,887 8,462 / 8,462 (100%) $53.50 / $33.50 Frank Productions I don't think this could be true, the upper tier didn't look full to me I wonder if they fudged it somehow... March 1, 2010 Patriot Center Fairfax, Va. $385,500 7,500 / 7,500 (100%) $51 I.M.P. This show, on the other hand, was packed I'm not sure about the ticket price listed, though, the face value of the tickets was $55 </nitpick> (yeah, I know these aren't your numbers or anything, just pointing it out ) Omg they play such small venues in the USA! *JEALOUS!* 7.800 people that's amazing! 7500 at the Patriot Center - it was Thinking back to the pics I've seen, I think it was the smallest venue overall - 1st mariner didn't have that many more people, but the stage fit in it. In VA they couldn't fit in the wings. Based on the pics I've seen from other gigs, I don't remember seeing any others on this leg where they had to cut the stage back.... halo eighteen
is this info from pollstar or is it just self-calculated estimates? Billboard Boxscore is the source. I don't think this could be true, the upper tier didn't look full to me I wonder if they fudged it somehow.... Yeah, I'm thinking just about every show's numbers have been fudged.. The venue at Baltimore has something like a 12,000+ capacity I think, but they say 8-thousandwhatever was sold out... That's why I hate that term.. sold out... cuz I would think just about everywhere could theoretically fit one or two more people in... and if entire sections were empty they could just say they weren't for sale so it's not part of the capacity... the numbers are impressive for what they are though! They've never pulled these kinds of numbers here nation-wide.

RiverIsis
Wow- some of those ticket prices are ridiculous And the whole reason why my DH and I didn't go see AC/DC they can sing to empty seats for $100+ prices as far as I am concerned Nashville needs to step it up. It IS music city. Wasn't the venue nearly sold out? Louisville's KFC Yum! arena is going to hold $17,000+ for end arena concerts. (FWIW I just like typing KFC Yum! because it just sounds like a comment more than a business )
scorpiocheech
Wasn't the venue nearly sold out? I think for some of the shows they only sold tickets on the floor and lower bowl of the arenas and just had the top sections blocked off. So when you see a show was almost sold out and the seat total is like 7,000 or 8,000 that's probably the case. In reality they were nowhere near a real sell out like the Oakland show I went to. 18,805 baby!

halo eighteen
I know you're waiting for official stats and what not, but the article in Rolling Stone about Muse's performance at MSG said the show was SOLD OUT. Â Thanks! Yeah, I'm just waiting on Billboard to post the official numbers. I'm thinking the promoter for MSG (or the venue itself, whoever handles it) prefers to do a bulk update, so the Muse numbers will probably get announced with dozens of other acts. It's just strange that what appears to be the show with the biggest turnout of the US tour so far is one of the few to not get reported.
Deacon Blues
it makes me so happy that Muse is as successful as they are. they deserve every penny of it. when i think about it, the 60 or so bucks that it cost to see them is totally worth it...i think of it as paying matt 20, chris 20, and dom 20 for showing up, hehe...plus Morgan too which lowers it even more. wow...its a hell of bargain if you think of it that way. must be an amazing feeling to get up on stage, play an amazing gig, and walk away singificantly richer afterward. jeez
