Exogenesis Release for Record Store Day 2010 (Pre-orders now sold out)

Seeing as I missed out on the UK pre-order, is there somewhere online I can get it imported from the US? I don't mind paying a (somewhat reasonable) shipping charge. Fecking typical that something like this would happen on the rare occasion that I can't get online :(.

You might want to check the RSD website... someone mentioned that they had find a record store in Kingston that was going to receive a few copies.

...are you actually asking if the official Muse website and the Muse shop make the same "typo" about 10 times including on all order forms and receipts as opposed to one unofficial site?

No Niall, I'm asking if they made it twice - on the Muse website announcement and in the Muse shop - you should know that I wouldn't be privvy to any order forms and receipts. No-one is infallible, even employees or volunteers who work for Muse websites.

And the Record Store Day Website doesn't seem to be particularly unofficial, and here is the information they have provided:

Warner Brothers Muse "Exogenesis: Symphony (parts 1-3)"/"Uprising (Live from Teignmouth)"/"Resistance (Live from Lisbon)" The live version of "Resistance" has never been released 7" vinyl 2000

Hence my query as to whether there is a 12 inch AND a seven inch.

PS: BTW Niall, how's the "Thank you Muse! USoE Resistance Video Project" going?

And thanks for fixing up that "typo" when the new Muse Official Website was launched that I told you about - changing NS to NSW - thanks for that.

Bearing in mind there's only 2000 of these 12", surely not every shop taking part worldwide can have a copy, as there'd not even be one per shop at that rate? And it does specifically state that it's the US only, so I am rather confused about international shops having copies

I guess not all shops taking part in RSD will order Exogenesis 12". They'll only order it if they think it will sell. eg Banquet Records in Kingston is getting some in because they specialise in alternative music so they'll expect it to sell.

But why have Muse specifically stated it's US only, if it's actually participating stores worldwide? That's my confusion!

Edit: I suppose they get hold of it like they do any other import? Thinking logically!

'12"' is used three times in the news article alone. I don't think Muse's manager who writes the news articles would make the same typo three time in one article.

The official Muse websites is a lot more official in terms of Muse releases than a website collating information from a number of different bands and record companies.

And no prob with the typo. Although tbh I don't even remember in against the all the gigs I was adding etc.

The video project is dead afaik. It got stalled when Chris went to Canada for a month before getting the London video footage to me, and I could no longer contribute to it myself when my PhD started. I mean, can't you just search for yourself to see there's been no activity in that thread for a long time?

I have been in there recently and seen that a couple of people were asking what's going on, and no explanation was given, but you have explained it now so thanks.

That was me. The guy I spoke to at Banquet Records said they'd have some on the day' date=' probably around 10, but you have to be there in person to buy one. They open at 10am.[/quote']

Oh hey fellow Kingstonian, haha ;)! Yaay, fanks for filling me in, I already emailed them, but they haven't replied yet. Good thing it's on a Saturday so I can get there for opening time and not be held back by work. I may even see you there! If all fails in Kingston, I'll just try the various London shops and see if they have any (fingers x'd).
