he definately stands out.

theres loads of heavy metallers who play really really fast.....but every song has the same beat (and they cheat with a double pedal ;))

theres punk rockers who try and be all over the place and original (Travis Barker) but it sounds a mess....

and theres the middle of the road "boom...ta...boom boom...ta" drummers who are boring.

Then theres Dom who does all three.

he does it the way it should be done.... inventively and with lots of aggro! I don't like double pedal metalers, it sounds shite and, as you say, always the same. At least Dom mixes it up a bit hehe. True he puts a bit of everything into his drumming, so for every 'boring' beat, there's something more funky (although I don't find it boring lol) ;)

Definitely has to be Assassin (the Grand Omega Bosses edit has even better drumming imo), MotP, KoC, and Stockholm Syndrome of-course.

I haven't seen anyone mention TIRO yet. A great tight beat and then after the second verse during "bury it, i won't let you bury it, i won't let you smother it .... ". My god that is just brilliance.

TIRO and then Assasin as a distant 2nd.

hmm...maybe Stockholm Syndrome, TIRO, and Micro Cuts?

...nah, this last album really caught my attention to the drum parts, especially on Map of the Problematique, Assassin, and Knights of Cydonia.

Dom is excellent!!! He drum techniques are always nice and so match with the songs. I can't think other techniques could macth with each songs. every songs has different unique style drumming. among other songs, i like drumming in stockholm syndrome, supermassive blackhole, plug in baby, starlight, showbiz, take a bow, assassin of course.. that's all i can remember for now.

The drumming in CoD is fab but nowhere near that of MotP and Apoc. Please.

I've finally decided that the best drumming in a Muse song is that of AP live, post EC. The extra drumming during the electronic bridges are genious.
