hyper_chondriac_muser Posted June 4, 2007 Author Share Posted June 4, 2007 he definately stands out. theres loads of heavy metallers who play really really fast.....but every song has the same beat (and they cheat with a double pedal ) theres punk rockers who try and be all over the place and original (Travis Barker) but it sounds a mess.... and theres the middle of the road "boom...ta...boom boom...ta" drummers who are boring. Then theres Dom who does all three. he does it the way it should be done.... inventively and with lots of aggro! I don't like double pedal metalers, it sounds shite and, as you say, always the same. At least Dom mixes it up a bit hehe. True he puts a bit of everything into his drumming, so for every 'boring' beat, there's something more funky (although I don't find it boring lol) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can't think other techniques could macth with each songs. every songs has different unique style drumming. among other songs, i like drumming in stockholm syndrome, supermassive blackhole, plug in baby, starlight, showbiz, take a bow, assassin of course.. that's all i can remember for now. I've finally decided that the best drumming in a Muse song is that of AP live, post EC. The extra drumming during the electronic bridges are genious.
