When the whole song breaks down to just a synth pattern and matts vocals:

"No ones going to take me alive..."

Im getting shivers just writing it. I think its INCREDIBLY effective! :D Only the live version tho....the studio doesnt do it for me....

The part of Shrinking Universe where everything is quiet, and then builds up and suddenly gets really heavy and Matt sounds like he's singing his heart out, right before the last "can't you see it's over". ♥ Looove it.

 

I agree with you there 100%. :happy: Also, the ending to Shine Acoustic, where Matt sings "I was the one, and now I'm gone, take me back again." Lovely. :yesey:

I know exactly the feeling you're talking about. I get that when I hear really impressive vocals live, or even when listening to bootlegs or whatever.

Micro Cuts

Eternally Missed - especially the guitar riff from 1:44 to 1:54 and from 3:10 onwards. It's just so beautiful! This song's got one of the best basslines ever too.

Space Dementia -You make me sick because I adore you so... That line gets me every time.

Bliss - especially all the live versions.

All of KoC, but especially when Matt's screaming comes in after a minute of so, much better live than in studio version though.

 

New Born live, that high pitched riff leading into the main riff is just :eek:

 

Bliss and it's intro.

 

Stockholm Syndrome and the immense riffs that follow it live.

 

Invincible live - I just love the calm, long intro Matt does, sounds so amazing and deffo sends shivers down the spine.

 

Last 45 seconds of SMBH live.

 

Sunburn towards the end "i'll hide from the world..."

 

Muscle Museum last 30 seconds

 

Forced In - the second half of it is amazing I think

 

MOTP live - maggie's farm!

 

Butterflies and Hurricanes - piano solo

There's a few for me:

 

Recess - Matt's little soloish bit after the second verse.

 

Assassin - Doms drum fill

 

Hyper Chondriac Music - pretty much all of it

 

Nature 1 - when Matt does something crazy with his voice during the second chorus

 

New Born - Has to be that crazy ass riff after Matt's finished on the piano

 

Supermassive Black Hole at Reading - Never been keen on the song but the guitar sounds seriously phat for the first 30 seconds or so
