Muse fans are intelligent. Right?

Oh my goodness... first time I took this test thing I managed to get 100% introverted (ISFJ) :stunned::LOL::$

I'm not That bad, but I do get very shy at times and I'm not so great in social situations... but I'm not some recluse who can't face the outside world, lol! Just yesterday I was at a house party and talked to a bunch of people I'd never met before without having some meltdown, and my job requires me to talk to new peeps all the time, so I don't agree with this test at all :phu: lol.

Second time I got 89% after reconsidering some of the Qs I was stuck on, but these tests don't mean much to me... it's just grouping people into categories, really.

As a general stereotype, people who socialise on forums and messageboards are apparently more socially awkward. I'd definitely say I fit that type, but at the end of the day it's just a generalisation and everyone's different.

Same with claiming Muse fans are intelligent... there are all levels of intelligence on this board and across their fanbase in general - being clever has nothing to do with which band you like! Just because Muse's songs touch on conspiracies, politics and hyper space, doesn't mean that we're all philosophers, theorists and scientists! I don't get where this idea that Muse fans are smart stemmed from (maybe there are Radiohead threads with the same assumption and it's a rivalry thing :p), but it's quite arrogant and, ironically, stupid. ;)

*looks at title of thread* No, no, that's just a myth. Or, I mean, it's a conspiracy theory. A Muser seems more intelligent depending on the amount of other Musers surrounding him/her. Logically, a crowd would seem more intelligent when there's a whole bunch of pretentious douches using words like 'bereft', 'megalomania', 'coercive' and 'resonate'.

Oh, and I kid because I love.

Well :phu:, I looked through the results of the personality tests that were posted on here and here's the breakdown:

Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Perceiving was the most common personality type out of us 23 who tried it out:

INTP types are quiet, thoughtful, analytical individuals who tend to spend long periods of time on their own, working through problems and forming solutions. They are curious about systems and how things work. Consequently, they are frequently found in careers such as science, architecture, and law. INTPs tend to be less at ease in social situations or in the "caring professions," although they enjoy the company of those who share their interests. They also tend to be impatient with the bureaucracy, rigid hierarchies, and the politics prevalent in many professions. They prefer to work informally with others as equals.

ENFJ, ISFJ, and INFP's tied for 2nd most common.

But considering the margins were pretty small, I'd say the more interesting fact was that 74% were "introverted" as opposed to "extroverted" overall. And 65% (15:8) were "intuitive" as opposed to "sensing".

the Thinking/Feeling and Perceiving/Judging categories were pretty much tied.

It would be cool to get a larger sample, but make of it what you will ;)

Exactly! Now, I couldn't really think up pretentious words on the spot when I wrote it, so I just used random odd words from lyrics, but at least somebody got my point. BUT I am pretty sure I have experienced someone at a gig once (I suppose most of us have at some point), just using fancy words here and there to sound intelligent, and I'm thinking "dude, they'll still like you if you just say this song suits a certain mood or whatever..." (even though I'm not entirely sure that's what he meant, but hey.) However, on the other side of the scale there was this lovely guy who was so thrilled to just see Muse's gear being rigged he almost jumped both me and my friend at the same time while yelling "Dom's drumsss!!". Which made me happy. Just enthusiastic love for the music. That'll do, pig.

Sorry about that, but yeah.
