They've thrown in quite a few 'references' to other songs on the new album. US definately whiffs of New Born and Space Dementia. Resistance references Citizen Erased. Exogenesis apparently re-uses a piano riff from Butterflies & Hurricanes, but at a slower speed. Uprising wreaks of Starlight, Supermassive and Knights.

Is it just me or does the first 43 seconds sound very, very similar to Interlude on Absolution...

I realised it the other day and not sure if I'm right.. ( Cause I thought the riff in new born was heaps similar to Unnatural Selection.. :$)

I JUST thought the same thing yesterday in the car. Stop reading my thoughts.:p

Aside from the intro and verse, Resistance just keeps sounding weaker and weaker everytime I hear it...

No, no, you've got it all wrong. The start is actually the theme tune to "Casualty", a bbc tv hospital programme shown in the UK on a Saturday night. ;)

A single is used to promote the album.

Nobody is going to buy a 13/14 minute symphony apart from collectors/die hards. It's just not possible/going to happen.

Well it is possible and has happened.
