I'm still looking for someone to ride down with. I am leaving from Sacramento. I can meet up with someone and ride with them, or they can ride with me. I am willing to stand in line while people wait to park, or would hope someone could save my spot in line while I wait for the parking lot to open. I'm not that sure about BART since I have never ridden it. What is the closest station with a parking lot? That may be my only other option. I guess I could check out their website. haha

YAY, only 2 more days! :musesign:

Hi! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now. I've been offline for a few days. Anyway, I would have liked to carpool, but I've got to go pick up my ticket from my sister's house in another part of Oakland on the way there and some other stuff, so I wouldn't want to drag someone along for all that.

I do have GA, though, and will get in line probably around 3pm or so, I'm estimating. Not sure if it's even worth getting in line that late, but whatever, that's probably when I'll get there.

I'll be by myself, too, so would be nice to chat with other .mu boardies in line! :) I'll be wearing this very sparkly shirt, which is hard to miss:

OK....so I guess I am not coming as early as planned. Just got a phone call from Oracle and this is the info I was given:

People can start lining up at 6pm, NO EARLIER! They will have security there escorting people off the property if you try to line up.:(

Parking will open at 6pm.

What they've been doing at most venues is giving numbered bracelets to the people who show up before 5:00 (or in this case 6:00) and letting them come back with their place in line once the queue starts up.

Can't say for sure if this is what they'll do at Oracle but I'm pretty sure every other show has done something similar so it's prob worth a shot.

Yea, I may try to get there a little earlier, but when I was talking to the guy he said they basically were going to have security everywhere and no lining up or anything was going to be able to happen till 6. :( He said the 66th Ave gate will be open to the public since they have employees that need to get in and out, but if you try to line up they will kick you out. So, from what he said it didn't sound like they were going to do anything like that. I even mentioned to him that people were planning on getting there at noon, and he said that they wouldn't be allowed in. So that's a bummer.....but I will still try to get there a lil earlier to see. Hopefully if someone does go and they find that they can get in there, or get a wrist band or whatever, they will post that on here so the rest of us know to get there ASAP.

No problem. Yea I understand the errands bit. Hopefully we can meet up there. I may still try to get there by 5 just so I can avoid the rush hour traffic. And I will either be parking at the BART station there by Oracle, or a lil further out. DO NOT want to pay $30 for parking....oy vey!

Have the crowd chant for Dead Star,RBS and Bliss too :D.

Muse better keep their promise to play SFA in April,so far they haven't delivered on their promise.

so it's official then, we must start a chant. :D ruled by secrecy would be amazing to hear this time around. i've been addicted to absolution lately.

and i didn't know about sing for absolution! :D me and my best friend discovered muse about 4 years ago and sing for absolution has been one of his all time faves since then to now. he'd be so happy to hear it live. (: especially since we missed them 2 years ago. :(

MK *stomp**clap* ULTRA!

MK *stomp**clap* ULTRA!!

MK *stomp**clap* ULTRA!!

AH! that put an amazing picture in my head. :D that would be beyond OSSUM. :awesome:

so i think it is official then, a chant for MK Ultra, RBS, dead star, and bliss. :D

Doors are at 7pm

...

Cameras are allowed as long as they are not professional. :D

This is really good to know - thanks for sharing the info. I'm taking the Bart from San Francisco - I thought I was going straight after work (5pm) but really there's no point arriving at the Arena and can't get in the building for a couple of hours :( Are the doors for the building itself? (or the hall inside?)

I don't want to leave too late either taking rush hour commuting into consideration.

Thanks for the info!!!

On the down side, security will be everywhere.

On the bright side...security will be everywhere. (This is Oakland) :p

Anyway, I think this policy needs to be tested. I may go way early to see if I get kicked out. :)

Parking cost $30 - some sort of Oakland city mandate makes it this expensive.:rolleyes:

Doors are at 7pm

Once you are allowed on property, the line for general admission will be at the South Tunnel...where we lined up for NSSN.

No signs will be allowed in for the show....I suggest making them small enough to fold and fit in your pocket if you really want to try to get one in. :ninja:

Cameras are allowed as long as they are not professional. :D

Huh?! That's so stupid. I remember I saw mcr (lol, don't ask) at Oracle and there was already a huge line at 2 pm. This pisses me off because I really wanted barrier. I'm super short so that's probably the only way I'll be able to see at the show. So...does anyone have any bright ideas? Should I just go early and see if they're giving out bracelets?

 Awesome! Good idea too, if you're short and have a GA ticket! ;)

:LOL:Sorry...jk. I'm probably going before noon to scope out the situation...I want to see how heavy the security really is.

Cool. Please post here and let us know what's going on over there. :)

As far as getting in line, I have to work until 4pm so I won't be there till about 6pm. I will be there with my forum shirt. Looking forward to seeing others too :D

I plan on fighting my way to the front like I did last time at NSSN. Floor rules!

I really want them to play Ruled by Secrecy, Bliss, and MotP. I think those are realistic requests...unless they play another special rarity just for us.

I'll be wearing my forum shirt as well! I'm going with a friend but it would be great to meet and hang out with fellow members! It sucks that we can't line up until 6! I was planning on being there at 4:30 but maybe switch that to 5ish. I want to get a good spot but not barrier; awesome as that would be, I don't think I could handle it, hahaha. I hope I'll be able to see well, at 5'2", most people are taller than me =/

I second the chanting for mku and sfa!!! Also, anybody still looking for a ticket? I have an extra GA ticket bc of a last minute no-goer. PM me, I can meet up with you.

Hi all, I'm a newbie to this forum but definitely not to Muse.

I'm totally nervous about attending the concert since it's been awhile since I've been to any concert and it's my first Muse concert. What makes me the most anxious is that the person who was supposed to go with me backed out at the very last minute. So we can definitely relate plugmein. :)

I hope to make a friend while in line or something. I live fairly close to Oakland but I'm not sure how I'm getting there just yet.

Also forgive me if a ton of people ask and if this has been answered repeatedly, but what is the usual policy on cameras? Are cameras other than cell phone cams allowed? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer.

Yup. Cameras are allowed as long as they aren't professional. Pretty much, if it can fit in your pocket, you can get it in. YAY!!

I will be there alone as well, and am excited to meet fellow board members! =o)

I guess before the next tour I shall have to get a .mu shirt. I still have no idea what I am going to wear to the show. haha I don't have any MUSE shirts...

A group photo would be awesome!! We should do a count off in here so we know how many people to expect at the sound booth. I am going to try to get to the barrier, so it may take a few mins to get back there....along with some of the other people on here.

Happy Birthday Jessica! If you are going to be at this show we can celebrate our Aries Awesomeness together!! haha My B-day is today, but I am going to act like it is tomorrow! haha MUSE for a B-day present is Radtastic! OK I'm done making up words now. Can't wait for tomorrow!! :musesign:
