brigada37 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Hey, I'm about to purchase my tickets, but all the GA tickets (floor) are sold out already...You think it's still worth it? I heard someone said the GA tickets (seats) might be able to be used to access the floor. I definately want to go to the floor for this!

I heard someone said the GA tickets (seats) might be able to be used to access the floor. I definately want to go to the floor for this! Seats are seats; only the GA/floor people get wristbands to access the floor. Better hurry, the better seats are going fast (I checked for a friend a few minutes ago). Or, CraigsList?
brigada37 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Yeah man, I think I'll wait. Just saw them at DtHB, they were amazing!!!! I was right up there, close to the front, so yeah....I don't think I can take seats For those of you who are in the same position, wait before you buy seats (this COULD be a risk, however). I remember when I went to a Green Day concert at Key Arena about 5 months ago, and the GA (floor) were sold out on the first day, a bunch of GA (floor) tickets suddenly appeared on ticketmaster about 2-3 weeks before the show. Just wanted to give people a heads up...I think it might be the same with this concert as with the Green Day one. At least I hope...
Namey Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 any chance anyone could end up with a spare GA ticket for this one? *gazes hopefully at gocanux*

softailkel Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Anyone else get tix? I just looked on the Key seating chart -- the 100 levels are all GA seats. Weird! I'm in section 127 (for now), all tickets spoken for already. Mary have you been to the Key for any other shows with seating like this? "Start spreading the Muse..." Don't miss SNL tonight!!!

I'm not sure that's right, as the 100 level seats were sold as assigned seats. Best bet is to call Key Arena directly and speak with someone in management or security.

Best bet is to call Key Arena directly and speak with someone in management or security. They are assigned seating. Same as last time. I was incorrect about the 2007 show in thinking that seats were GA. They were not and are not for the 2010 gig. Sales seem good. Makes me wonder if they'll open up portions of the 200 lelvel?
softailkel Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 My ticket receipt has section (127), row (16) & seat numbers (1-4) so I'm sure that it is assigned; I just thought it was weird that the graphic for the Key had "GA" in my section! There is no way GA would work in the 100 sections separately -- we'd trample the front row --!! They are assigned seating. Same as last time. Horrible plan because yes, people did get trampled as soon as the band cam on. The rows pushed forward, isles filled in. It became a terrible safety hazard. The concert wasn't fun at all. Glad to see that Key isn't being retarded and has assigned seats.

There is no way GA would work in the 100 sections separately -- we'd trample the front row --!! I have been to 3 shows now at the Bercy arena in Paris, which is as big as Key or bigger, and they had 2 kinds of tickets: GA floor or GA seats. And instead of a line, they had a mob trying to push into the gate! Sue/timrich and I managed to get in fairly quickly and ran like hell to the section we knew was just to Matthew's right; had to fight to hold our 8 seats on the aisle in rows 8 and 9. Crazy! (There were several in our group who couldn't run due to recent surgery, etc, so good thing Sue and I had our sensible shoes on!)

gocanux Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 I don't know why they'd bother with assigned seating at Wamu... They do assigned seating there if it's a show with no standing area. We saw Kids In The Hall there, assigned seats. Horrid venue for that kind of thing as there is no rise to the floor, horrid sightlines.
crowbi_wan Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I don't know why they'd bother with assigned seating at Wamu... It worked well for Neil Young when he did his acoustic stuff. That was a "sit down, don't block my view' sort of crowd. The Paramount and Moore will have seats on the floor sometime, too. Moz, Keane, a few others I've sen at those venues. I'm not entirely sure who makes the call for seating or not. Promoters, the artists, the venue. Obviously the mellower stuff, higher priced gigs tend to go with seating.
booberry Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Another item to note about assigned seating at this show. In the lower bowl, there is no row 1. They do not sell those seats all the way around the lower section to keep a buffer between the GA floor and the lower bowl (they station a few security people in each section in that empty first row). If you have or are looking for tickets in the lower section, just note that Row 2 is really the first row.
kittykitty Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Hello! I was told by the sales rep at Ticketmaster today that there will be no floor/GA tickets, he said the floor would be blocked....I hope that's not true, I was on the floor for Deck the Hall Ball and I cant imagine seeing Muse any other way than being with all the other crazy people.

That's ridiculous! They just sold a zillion GA/Floor tickets! Why would it be any different than for Green Day last summer? I had floor tix for that too...

WHAT???? Hopefully this isn't true... What about the energy I need to let out??? I can't let my energy out trapped by seats! *cries* Plus alot of GA tickets were sold. Hopefully that rep. doesn't know what he's tlking about.
hyperr_chondriac Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I can't imagine a Muse concert with no floor. It wouldn't be the same... I think that Ticketmaster rep doesn't know what he's talking about!!! I doubt he knows the details for every concert...

So, Muse will either have some giant stage taking up the entire arena floor or they'll play to an empty arena floor. This, after many of us already purchased floor tickets. Yeah right. That rep is an idiot.
