Well it looks like I may be coming to this show too! Does anyone have any inside info on the venue? Anyone seen a concert there? After seeing some folks met the band after the Fairfax show, I'm tempted to stick around after this one, but I don't know how accessible they'll be at this venue. Anyone have ideas?

buses park underground here. the entrance is located behind the venue but it's obviously guarded.

I saw Green Day supported by Kaiser Chiefs there. And both bands sounded bloody brilliant. I had seen Kaiser Chiefs earlier on their tour when they headlined in Chicago and their sound wasn't nearly as good as it was in Nashville. I don't know whether it was the venue or sound desk or what. In general the band played nearly the same so I wouldn't say they got exponentially better over the intervening months.

There is a large open plaza to the Arena on 5th and Broadway and that is where the GA queued.

I found the security staff really helpful and nice. But then again I'm rather motherly looking so they probably aren't expecting any trouble from me!

My experience is that after the show nearly everyone in the venue seemed to exit to go down toward the gates. I really wasn't prepared for that. I personally didn't bother I'm not a die hard Green Day fan - I'm just a fan.

HTH.

yeah thanks Gwinnett for spoiling us. Waiting all day sucks especially if it is cold still.

Better go get me another emergency blanket and warm hands.

My main concern is finding where we will queue and socialising. I can be a little shy.

Yes finding where to line up in such a big arena is a concern. I hope there aren't 10 entrances to the floor like at previous shows. 1 door please!

... i definitely hadn't thought of that yet... has anyone been to this center before for a big concert? cause if so - where was the line then? (maybe find a sommet center map thing and mark if for us to see where exactly?)

Yeah, it'll be nice to see someone from Atlanta there. Just look for the lab coat again.

Seats or GA?

I'm not sure yet. Looks like there are tix available in almost every section (including GA). Just waiting to hear back from some peeps who want to go so I know what to get!

Will definitely keep you posted, church.

indiefilmman, I don't know that there is a plan at this point but I definitely plan on sticking around. I don't know anything about the venue except what has been mentioned here so I hope they will be accessible!

Alright so queueing....... it won't be like Atlanta I assume. It'll be an all day thing.
For reference when I went to Sommet/Bridgestone last July the GA were queuing at 10 am when I went to collect tickets.

My main concern is finding where we will queue and socialising. I can be a little shy.

In july the lined up along the doors nearing 5th

Yes, I went in July.

i'm pretty sure they open up two doors...maybe three?

Right where I saw the GA queue is on this picture I will see if I can find a better picture for you but basically the corner in front of the arena slightly slopes so there is steps near some doors and it was along those doors that I saw the queuing.

If I have picture that is relevant I will post it in a bit but ATM I am editing my pics from Atlanta - finally got my computer to download them.

ok just bought my tickets. I was going to use stub hub but I checked ticket master and to my surprise they still had some available. Traveling 9 hours to Nashville from my beachfront condo here in Florida. Can't wait! :D:D

2 GA tickets. Going with my mom haha, should be fun still. :D Probably be out front before 8 just to be sure we can find the proper queuing zone. If anyone wants to get together the night before and meet up for dinner or something idk. I'm down for a meet up if we can figure it out. Super excited.

*scurries off to add this show to signature*

ALSO, just FYI the arena isn't Sommet it's Bridgestone. At least that's what it said when I bought the tickets. Apparently there was a name change.

Definitely a name change but it must be pretty new and I would be prepared to ask for either.

For those that haven't been to Nashville I found it pretty easy to navigate the last time I was there. Just get your bearings with a map you should be fine.

I'm counting the days until my contract ends in September. I hate my phone lack of service!

OK - I have looked at that picture and the tip of the Loiter Here arrow is exactly where the line for GA started the last time I was there.

Later in the day the security set up a cordon of such to do security checks before you get in the building - I wasn't there then so don't know what they did with those in the queue.
