mjartrod Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 HAHA at tom! feet showing! (he probably thought the weather was better, it's been quite crappy the past few days lol!) cool pic (didn't know he had a new gf)
Tofu Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Does Tom only wear shorts? For some reason I don't remember him ever wearing long trousers.
dead-duck Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 wow @ those reports! It's cool some of you guys got to meet Tom and get your stuff to the band It sounds like the guys were really into it last night, here's hoping they keep that momentum WUT, new suit? Is that.. *gasp* a granny coat suit?!? that was my first thought too!
Buxomflirter Queef Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 cool pic (didn't know he had a new gf) He didn't tell you?
Tofu Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Anyone else think the beginning of Resistance sounds just like Invincible? I got all excited, and then confused.
a-museing Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Anyone else think the beginning of Resistance sounds just like Invincible? I got all excited, and then confused. Yes. When we were listening to the stream I thought they were going to start playing Invincible.

Tom only went to the barriers because he promised us at the airport! he didn't know when the band was coming since he went to london or something after the paris gig (muse stayed in paris) but a few hours later muse bumped into us! we were playing around when I look in my right and think "oh new people coming.. look it's morgan.... *looks away*... MORGAN?!" ahah When I saw chris I was in denial. He's.... and so so so nice, he couldn't stop smiling and laughing! Marta made Chris laugh at me! I was grabbing him for a picture, and MArta was like "I want to be in it too!", me: "ITS MY BDAY!" and marta shouted "IT WAS YESTERDAY!" and Chris laughed hard!
Buxomflirter Queef Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 He didn't tell me either. :'( That bastard Should have made a kirkbot post about it
pokemew Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Anyone else think the beginning of Resistance sounds just like Invincible? I got all excited, and then confused. YEAH! I was like ".....what's this...INVINCIBLE?!"
cheese on toast Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Tom, Mariana, me, Mafalda, Marta and Sara! his girlfriend took the picture! She was nice!! Aw, such a nice picture Sounds like it was a good gig.. shame I couldn't be on here as it was actually happening, but I was tucked up in bed asleep by 10.30!
xuwang Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 There were probably many people that didn't knew, but not sure if it's due to the "false muse fans". There were many people there that didn't went to see Muse (they were there to see the Portuguese band, Xutos & Pontapés). So.. yes, there were people who went to see Xutos, Snow Patrol and Sum 41 it's normal since it's a festival after all. But a large part of the people who went there were twilight fans that only like muse because it's part of the soundtrack and only knew 4 songs or less (I'm not saying that twilighters can't be real muse fans but I think you got the point) and when CE started they were all confused and the same happened with MK Ultra. It's sad, but it happened the same last year at PA, only that there were more fans there than anything else but the presence of pseudo-fans was well noticed by the people who went there (including mself) But I hope that the ones who didn't know them became fans or started to listen to them
s3ker Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I was there too! Great gig, it's a shame New Born/didn't get played! But overall it was pretty good, there was a lot of energy and the band was really pumped. Me and the guys that were with me already knew we were going to get CE, we saw the 7 string getting moved by some crew member earlier in the afternoon. It was so so awesome. The beggining of the gig with Chris coming in and standing, then the fireworks and BAM MK. That was soo epic. I was suprised to see Stockholm so early in the set. Oh and we got the robot visuals in supermasive One of the guys who was with me (a group from a portuguese forum) shouted "Neutron Shit Collision" when we saw the keyboard near the mic! A lot of people already told what happened, im disappointed we won't get the whole footage of the gig. It was pretty good, it just lacked 1 or 2 rockier songs. But, the November gig from TR tour was better, in my opinion. Citizen Erased was definitely the highlight of the night, it's such an epic track! Sounds amazing live, and I wasn't expecting it to be played in the encore opening

It was your 1st muse gig, like mine, but it wasn't hun e eu cheguei a te conhecer??
mjartrod Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 He didn't tell you? no and naturally i am quite upset. Matt has hit a new low. That suit is hideous. but it's hiney and glittery yes, there were people who went to see Xutos, Snow Patrol and Sum 41 it's normal since it's a festival after all. But a large part of the people who went there were twilight fans that only like muse because it's part of the soundtrack and only knew 4 songs or less (I'm not saying that twilighters can't be real muse fans but I think you got the point) and when CE started they were all confused and the same happened with MK Ultra. ninsp Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 This setlist was great. The encore was Citizen Erased...that is absolutely nuts. MK Ultra is the best opener ever, too. The show just seemed energetic, proof that Muse do, in fact care. However, Citizen Erased proved that even though Matt still can do a falsetto well, he can't intertwine it as well anymore. Oh well.

I almost died in Xutos. Not joking at all! There was a moment where I almost broke my arm at the barrier because of the fucking Xutos fans! They're awful! They pushed more than in Muse!
mjartrod Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 But, the November gig from TR tour was better, in my opinion. i liked this one more, mostly because the band had more energy, seemed much happier on stage and the songs had a different punch. but i guess it also depends on where you were for both gigs and different experiences in the crowd, etc. i thought the one in november was very good, probably one of the best of the whole european winter tour, but i think i liked last night more

They were MUCH HAPPIER! They had MORE energy, the setlist was epic and mixed! Also, the only thing better in our gig in Nov. that was better than the others from european tour was the crowd! But thats me
pokemew Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 They seemed quite aggressive and 'into' it. also, am I the only one who loved Nishe? Because it was WAY better than in Nov! It had a different sound, and Chris was smoking pipe on top of... Dom's drumkit thingy
mjartrod Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 This setlist was great. The encore was Citizen Erased...that is absolutely nuts. pretty sure that CE opened the encore in the 2006 gig in lisbon too. i love the song, but i dont know why fans keep wanting it when it's lost that magic something. not that it's not good live; i went mental when i heard the drum intro but more recent performances of it dont compare, the band doesnt connect with it as well anymore. i think this is really one of the cases where they play SIMPLY BECAUSE the fans ask for it. and that's it.
Tofu Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 also, am I the only one who loved Nishe? Because it was WAY better than in Nov! It had a different sound, and Chris was smoking pipe on top of... Dom's drumkit thingy I always love Nishe. Play count on iTunes: 42 but idk. I still wish I was there. Living vicariously all summer is going to be more painful than I thought...
