I prefer hysteria riff but PIB is still very good and most people I play it to are impressed by it.

Really? I've never went to a professional guitar teacher and in 1 month playing I was able to play the entire riff (on classic guitar).

Hendrix rules. That riff is legendary, even my sister who has a rubbish music taste knows about it.

Purple Haze is better.

Hysteria is a bass riff.

...And so is Seven Nation Army!!! :wtf:

Its not...

Although it sounds like a bass guitar (an instrument the group had famously never previously used), the sound is actually created by running Jack White's semi-acoustic guitar (a 1950s style Kay Hollowbody) through an octave pedal set down an octave.

That's a crappy list tbh, There are a tonne of beatles riffs better than Day Tripper, Helter Skelter and While My Guitar Gently Weeps pop into mind, in fact I'd vote WMGGW as the best riff, even if it was Eric Clapton and not George Harrison playing it.

And New Born trumps Plug In Baby any day
