seregon
The thing is, CE and Bliss were the overwhelming winners of the setlist polls, so even if they wanted to play the same setlist for the sake of the production, they could just add those songs and they'd be fulfilling the poll requests at the vast majority of the gigs. Plus, they'd only need 2 songs worth of visuals. For whatever reason, it seems as though they're just reluctant to play those two at the stadiums.... They're just two songs and can easily be fitted in anywhere
Buxomflirter Queef
I know this. Fuck it even Muse know it judging by their festival and small gig sets but for some unknown reason they think that their reputation commands a huge stage set up with crazy visuals and lights and songs everyone can sing along to (or they actually like all that stuff, in which case that is one huge u-turn since 2008). To be honest the writing was on the wall in 2006 when Dom started introducing Soldiers Poem as a song to 'get the lighters out' for. Wasn't this tour even worse? 'get your mobiles out'

dead-duck
I also hope for it, but it will never be better than the one of the Casino That performance was truly special it really was nic cester on stage tonight. just got confirmation from someone who was at the gig. cannot WAIT to see this, hope it was as good as when they played at BDO!!!!! :D Cool to get some confirmation on that
Mozza
They're just two songs and can easily be fitted in anywhere MK and Cave at the arenas (and Unintended too?) didn't have visuals and minimal lighting but weren't played as regularly as the rest of the setlist songs. Also, what happened to the Butterflies and Hurricanes new visuals? Or Ruled By Secrecy, which has had the same visuals since 2004 and looked like they fitted in awesomely on the pillars in America. Gah. Oh well.
Zaphod Chizzlebrox
They're just two songs and can easily be fitted in anywhere Looking at the setlists, they should be playing three more songs at least, so why they don't stick those three songs in there is beyond me. CE/Bliss/MK would make it a reasonably bearable setlist.
Gigapoodle
First I'm pretty sure that my NME Muse magazine got cancelled, and now shitty reasons for not playing songs??? I'm so mad at Muse right now and half of it isn't even their fault

In Unintended the audience get their lighters out so it's hardly a new thing.
Bailey Essrog
I'm usually on the "pro-Muse" side of the debate, but these unfortunate set lists aren't doing anything to make me feel better about our chances of seeing a change-up in the U.S. next fall. I'm kinda glad I didn't dig deep to fund a trip to Europe, judging by the Bern/Milan gigs, though the festivals would have been worth it! I'm sure everyone in attendance at the stadiums had a great time though, and it sounds like Muse is still on top of their game performance-wise. dead-duck
so anyway...... sounds like it was a great gig from the crowd's reaction. I wonder if there was any acknowledgement of the birthday banner?
Mozza
He's been doing that since the 2003 tour and Blackout. Really? Oh well I take back that comment then. For some reason I'm more comfortable with it being during Blackout than Unintended though (which was what we got at the O2)
mjartrod
Cool to get some confirmation on that seems like nobody cares though, as, you know... it's time to diss the setlists and actual details about THIS gig being forgotten in the middle
Olly.
Another poll cop out. So really the moral of the story is dont go to their own shows, see them at festivals.

Gah. Oh well. They could use ANY visuals any of those songs have had. Some songs had new visuals like Uprising, Unnatural Selection and Stockholm but others just had their original graphics. SMBH robots were back yay Looking at the setlists, they should be playing three more songs at least, so why they don't stick those three songs in there is beyond me. CE/Bliss/MK would make it a reasonably bearable setlist. Mmm hmm. Oh well. Erm.......my point was that Muse actively encouraged it in 2006, whereas on Hullabaloo they just say 'we haven't played this song in fucking ages' and the crowd did it on their own accord, or something to that affect, and we've now established it's been slightly longer term than I had thought. Gareeh
you guys are pissing me off. accept matt's choice and if you don't like it, sell your ticket to people who will appreciate it. don't go to the gig and then say "well the setlist was boring." wembley will be my first, i couldn't care less what they play, as long as they go, lively > slower > lively. I mean, we all know he's out of his ever loving mind and can't help himself. But what are Chris and Dom's excuses? They deserve as much of the blame, if not more, for being enablers
