I'm a bit late with this but I got back to Finland on Wednesday, was completely knackered and had a flu so it has taken awhile to get enough rest and recover. I just want to say the gig was amazing, I enjoyed every moment and it's still hard to believe I was actually there. People are saying that the Saturday's gig was better, because Muse played Bliss and CE. I don't know about that, but I think Friday's gig was the right gig for me because they played B&H which I love more than Bliss and CE (yes, it's possible). It was the song that got me into Muse in the first place so it was quite emotional moment for me to finally hear it live. TAB is one of my favourites as well and they didn't play it in Helsinki last year so it was really great to hear it too and Matt's suit was fantastic :D I've been watching the videos from that gig on YouTube, trying to relive the whole thing. So sad it's over. The only song I would have liked to change into something else was NSC, but it was alright, because it was fun singing it along and making very dramatic hand gestures :chuckle:

[spoiler=off topic rant about a weird dream]We spent about a week in London. What a brilliant week it was! I'm totally in love with London now and want to go back. Something pretty funny happened when I was already back in Finland. We went sightseeing in London of course and one of the places we saw was the Tower of London, where a lot of people over the centuries have been kept imprisoned, tortured and executed as you probably know. We spent the last night on Stansted airport and didn't get much sleep. I was absolutely knackered when I finally got home on Wednesday evening and got to sleep. In the middle of the night I suddenly woke up and it was pitch-dark in my room. I guess I had seen a dream about the Tower of London because I was absolutely sure I was being kept as a prisoner there. All I could think of was why did they do this to me and what have I done. I was just about to start crying when I found the light switch of my lamp  I've never had that kind of experience before, I guess I was so tired it was making me a little delusional. A bit scary really. So the moral of the story is get enough sleep

Sorry, this turned out to be pretty stupid rant :p

Hello!! This is Dallas, the blond Canadian girl with the OOS nails. It was so awesome queuing with you and getting barrier together!

EDIT: If any of the 3 British guys from the front of the H/J Queue are here too, let me know!

Yap, we have to complete our supermassive queue reunion!

I said I was gonna do a review but I'm lazy so I made a video instead.

Let me know what you think

I SEEN YOU IN THE QUEUE.:LOL:

I was with my friend leaning up against the wall, by the time gates had opened we gathered a little group. :chuckle: We had arrived before you had.

You were sat alone, but talking to a woman in a skirt sitting on a newspaper? You seemed very chatty with a security guy? And when someone offered to swap tickets to go to M/N you asked for more information?

*Hopes I'm thinking of the same person, and feels like a creep*

So, my review... not that anyone cares anymore. I'm so behind :noey:. Haven't read what everyone wrote yet. Should be catch up funtimes.

The day started pretty shitty because the night before I felt a bit sick from excitement and didn't get any sleep AT ALL.

Sister and I met up with pokemew, Muse_Luver and... uh... the girl with the blue contact lenses. Sorry, I forgot your name. :$

We arrived at the Stadium at about 13:30. As we went up to it there was a girl making fun of Lily Allen being one of the supports. Personally I found that pretty hilarious. Seriously, couldn't they have gotten Silversun Pickups instead? I really would have liked to see them.

When we arrived at the H/J queue it already went down half of the upper ramp. Wembley has radio? That was nice. Even nicer was when radio dude announced they'd play Rick Astley ^^. Then it was eager waiting for the rickroll. Ah, good times. And I met more boardies: trogette (who recognized me by my Glitterati Converse :D) and einafets. Heard people talking German and other non-English languages. I love how international this gig was. Saw people with their aliens :D. And saw more boardies and interestingly dressed people (Muse gigs - it's the new Halloween): girl wearing a pink wig, girl wearing a turquoise wig, someone in limegreen skinnies walking next to someone in silver leggings.

Guys, please tell me I wasn't the only one who was amused that that one Crowd Safety guy had a megaphone.

Sitting on the concrete floor wasn't exactly comfortable but for some reason I felt good. Despite the lack of sleep... and that I was sitting at a strange place in a strange town, surrounded by lots and lots of strangers. I wasn't nervous at all. I was actually comfortably excited! I didn't know I could feel like that. It felt like I belonged there. For the first time since the beginning of that London vacation I felt like this would be good.

Try and find yourself in my sister's

.

16:30 doors opened and

. OMG, I was in Wembley Stadium! But I must say, it's smaller than I expected. Looked about twice as big on DVD.

We stood in front of the sounddesk. Good place. Mostly (Jesus fucking Christ, all those people coming through all the time!). You know, Tom's territory :D. Well and guess who we saw there. We may or may not have taken sneaky photos...

And guess what I saw there. The visuals for Ruled by Secrecy. I also saw something that I found weird... it was kind of a music video. Wasn't anything I remembered from Muse, so I thought maybe it was the visuals for one of the supports, although I didn't think they'd have visuals. Of course the next day that turned out to be that MK Ultra video.

.

Saw some more boardies and people in funny outfits: a guy with an elk hat (I only got that one when I wrote my diary - it's a Moose hat! I've always known those animals as elks, so it took me a while.) Wonder Woman and another one - not sure if she was Wonder Woman too, I think her outfit was a bit different. Lovemybones, and she was with someone whose face I have seen on the board, I'm really pretty sure. A girl in silver pants and a Beetlejuice blazer.

I've got my insane outfit for Friday (& maybe Sat) ready... silver trousers and shoes (they're my 'space' shoes!), black and white striped blazer and a Muse tee. I'll be paying homage to all three of 'em in some retarded-fashion kind of way . Yes, I'm a loser.

O hai :D! I got a picture of you, btw. And Wonder Woman is walking past you.

Saw guys in pink sports shorts. And someone with a shirt that said "Hey guys I'm from your 'bloody messageboard', so BLISS me. :D". Turned out to be Exoval! Was surprised to find out that she's a grown up - for some reason I expected her to be younger than me. And there was a boardie with Exoval whose name I didn't get. Please tell me who you are.

The day I arrived in London I was all "Fuck this, I want to go home.", on the morning of the gig I doubted it would be a good day for me. But then I was standing in Wembley fucking Stadium and I felt good. I felt so very good. I knew this was going to be awesome and thought that going to the Wembley gigs was the best decision ever.

While White Rabbits played (they weren't bad) I saw the HAARP Dino in the crowd! And took a photograph. XD

I could have lived without The Big Pink. I also could have lived without people constantly coming (and later squeezing) through where we were standing. Anyway, after the third song or so The Big Pink singer said: "We're all looking forward to Lily Allen?" - *silence* - "Looking forward to Muse?" - "Yeah!"

Then Lily Allen played and it was already too full to have a good view of the stage, hmph. Lily seems to be sweet, but her songs annoyed me. Much too noisy for her sort of music.

After her set I was ready to go home. Dammit, Muse, why are you trying my patience? Who the fuck needs THREE supports?

Time to blow up my red glitter-filled balloons. Did anyone see them? Hope the glitter wasn't annoying anyone. :$

Oh and then someone (exoval?) got a picture of the setlist and read Butterflies and Hurricanes on it. Man, did we squee.

Shortly before Muse came on the fun times started. I don't know if I imagined it, but something changed about the music, it sounded like something was about to happen. Do you know what I mean? It had a somewhat countdown-y feel.

Then! Lights out! Protesters on. And

. Usually I find this a bad opener because it doesn't get me into gig mood. This time I was already in the mood and the song was fun (Even though my view was crap. And despite the people who came still squeezing through, which btw would continue until the end of the gig :indiff:). Especially the outro riffage, nom.

. Could see a bit of the porny Kaoss pad porn (which looked kind of porny, btw) on the screens of the side of the stage. :eyebrows:

. What the fuck is so hard about clapping in time with the music? Seriously, people! No lasers :(. Where are my epic lasers?

The gig was great... until I got hit in the face by

.

What. The. Fuck. We were not amused. I never thought I'd have to hear this song live. God, even the visuals are cheesy! I gave my sister the camera here, so I could take off my jacket and tie it around my bag.

! FUCK YES! The cheer it got was massive. Making up for NSC right away. OMG, I got to hear B&H! I never thought that would happen before I'd get to hear MK Ultra or Bliss.

was one half waiting for the streamers and confetti, and the other half having fun with the streamers and confetti. Dammit, those little confetti pieces are too hard to catch. Didn't get any. I still reeeeeeeach for youuuu. Didn't catch any streamers either.

Confetti was still prettily flying through the air when

. It annoys me when people sing along to music. It just sounds so shit. Oh btw, who was that who kept using my shoulders for support for jumping? Happy to be of service. ^^

. And this is where I noticed that I tied my jacket too tightly around my bag - I couldn't get my little Eurasia flag out. And then I only had the flag's stick in my hand. D'oh!

Another song I never thought I'd have to hear live:

. But hey, I got to sing wee ponds, tomato dressing. My sister must have partly filmed this one, because you can see the band. She always holds the camera higher (and steadier - except when it's PIB) than I do. That clarinet substitute sounds... ugly.

. I don't know about you, but I was amused. Finally got to hear this one. Oh, waved the camera around a bit, the video could make you a bit seasick. :$

. I have to admit, in real life Gary the UFO platform is only half as silly as it looks in YouTube videos. Also, nice of Dom and Chris to come a bit closer.

Oh, so the crowd doesn't care about Dom or Chris, but as soon as Matt's on the platform too, the crowd starts pushing towards it -_-. Not impressed. Felt like I got moved several meters from the spot where I started. Got pushed around the place before by people coming through constantly, but a rush like this was new. On the plus side: finally a good view of all of them! Gary is actually useful. Again no lasers. Where are my lasers?

.

clapping while holding my camera, haha. Finally got to jump during the jumpable parts, GA FTW!

. It amazes me how sing so many people sing along. How does this work? Some people know to sing along or they don't but just do and then other people join in? Enough people know the lyrics? It seems to work every time they play it.

Still no TIRO shuffle. Probably best that way because with my crappy view I wouldn't really have seen it anyway. But one day I will, I want to see it! Shuffle for me, Matt, shuffle!

:\mm/:

Dom said we should wave around our lighters/cellphones and I expected Unintend. But it was

! How very unexpected. Fun fact: Before The Resistance came out the one Muse song I truly didn't like was Soldier's Poem. But I started liking the song a bit once I heard the intrumental version and how it sounds a bit Christmassy. Still, Muse managed to play all the songs I dislike that night.

Oops, didn't know my review is so long that I'd need another post.

Time to inflate the aliens!

. You know how hard to try and plug that alien shut with one hand because the other one's holding a camera? Again, I have to admit that something isn't as silly as it seemed on YouTube videos. Bernie was actually a bit impressive. It was pretty much in front of us, good view. Sadly it's quite attention stealing and makes Overture feel like it's just background music for the UFO. When the alien plopped out there was confetti :D. Which I didn't get to catch because it was not close enough.

. Jumping while holding a deflating alien is a bit weird. And then my camera's battery died, which is why the video ends at the beginning of the riff. The rest of it is
.

Of course I knew the camera wouldn't last until the end of the gig, so we had another one. My sister was supposed film the rest with her camera, but we couldn't because the memory card was full! Because she had to film before it was her turn, although had I told her before and then during the concert not do it! Gah. Luckily she still had her cellphone.

Ooh, interesting and unexpected second encore break filler:

.

was one of the 6 songs that I got to hear live for the first time, but it didn't do much for me. That song never did. Was interesting to see Matt in his LED suit in real life. I'd totally book him for all of December to stand in my livingroom as my Christmas tree.

was fun. OMG, finally in the pit, close to the balloons. And here I was guilty of being a crowd pusher. That one balloon got
! I could have touched it, but the other people were taller and could jump higher than me. So, third chance of catching confetti and again I didn't get any :noey:. I think one balloon flew into the sounddesk.

When

started, there were still some balloons flying around, hee. This song is win as is it, but in GA it's even more fun! Having other people's sweat on you isn't that great, but OMG, the atmosphere of GA! Finally I got to experience what it's like.

By the end of the gig I thought I was far away from the sounddesk, but when I turned around I was only 4-5 people away from it.

So! All in all I loved the gig even if the setlist was a fucking cheesefest. GA! Butterflies and Hurricanes! Meeting boardies! :awesome:

Fave Muse gig ever! But it only got to keep the title for less than 24 hours.
