Overall would probably be 8.5. Lots of 9s, but I just can't listen to the entire album, it doesn't fit right for some reason.

Three stars. I honestly just don't like the style or this side of Muse, and it was my least favorite of their albums. Songs like New Born, Plug In Baby, and Citizen Erased all had great guitar riffs (with CE having an awesome vocal melody). Megalomania has a good use of an organ. But other than that, it seems too thrashy for my taste.

Considering your track ratings add up to an average of 8.1/10, your overall award of 3/10 makes absolutely no sense at all.

= 9.5. Easily their best album. Genre bending, cliché breaking, inventive, abrasive, yet still accessible and melodic. The best riffs, the best vocals, the most inventive, and (most importantly) contains all the best songs. Still sounds an album dropped out of the distant future. Their later output is certainly not rubbish, as some other old-school fans melodramatically claim, but they were never again as good as they were here.

I still prefer Absolution, though Origin is a very close second.

I can't decide if this is a close second to Absolution or joint favourite. Either way, it's one of the best albums I've ever heard. The last three tracks let it down a bit (sorry, I do think Megalomania is a bit overrated) but they're still great songs.
