Mozza
A lot of people have 'fast song, fast song, slow song, fast song, slow song' and setlists really don't work like that. I'm of the opinion that Undisclosed and Resistance should always come together ala Resistance then Undisclosed Desires or visa versa. They're both slower songs but they work well off each other. Resistance is to this album what Invincible was to BH&R and should follow off the Piano Interlude in my opinion. Just an observation. My ideal setlist wouldn't include either of them. If Resistance has to be played then yeah the 'Invincible' slot, opening an encore or where they played it in Teignmouth seems to be the best positions for it. Just not between Uprising and New Born where it is a mood killer
Frakkles
I actually quite like them both but Resistance was a total mood killer at the O2. Undisclosed was after Unintended so it was actually more up tempo than the song before it which is pretty ironic.

Though, imo, it doesn't do anything for the set that can't be done (and an awful lot better too) by Butterflies. It'd be Butterflies > Invincible > Resistance for me. MuseMike
I went ahead and kept it semi-realistic. Took the setlist from the Forum from April 10, 2007 and changed it to be updated for resistance. Left out Undisclosed Desires. Added Micro Cuts and Cave or Muscle Museum. Same amount of songs played so it is doable by Muse, but the song selection will never happen again. 1. Knights of Cydonia 2. Hysteria 3. Uprising 4. Resistance 5. Supermassive Black Hole 6. Map of the Problematique 7. Butterflies & Hurricanes 8. Assassin (Grand Omega Bosses Edit) 9. MK ULTRA 10. Citizen Erased 11. USoE 12. Sunburn (piano) 13. Blues jam + Time Is Running Out 14. New Born (KROQ AAC solo) Encore 1: 15. Cave or Muscle Museum 16. Micro Cuts 17. Plug In Baby Encore 2: 18. Starlight 19. Unnatural Selection 20. Stockholm Syndrome 21. Take a Bow

The thing about B&H is that when it kicks in it REALLY kicks in. The song builds really well and the piano solo in the middle is awesome live. I do prefer Resistance too Invincible though. Invincible is slightly cheesier than Resistance for me. ALSO, Starlight should NEVER open ANYTHING...EVER. Not a set, not an encore, it shouldn't even get a post-piano slot. If it has to be played, throw it after UD or Resistance or something else slow.
WutDaFucksy
But its not about cheese, its about how good the song is. Invincible actually builds up and ends on a high while Resistance is just dull all the way through.

Side note, Feeling Good should be dropped but we all know that.

Love is our resistance? And yup I think the majority on here agree there, except Matt obvs
Guest Smit
Imo the whole resistance album should be droped out the setlist (discluding an obvious few), even that i could think of much better songs to replace them.
Frakkles
Resistance, the album, has it's place on the setlists for sure. MK, Unnatural Selection and Eurasia all fit in with the Muse of OOS and Absolution.
futurellama
I'd only keep MK ULTRA, USoE, Overture and Redemption myself. And maybe IBTY every now and the for the lulz
Lih
I'd only keep MK Ultra, Unnatural Selection and Exogenesis (though it shouldn't be a regular part of the set) maybe USoE and IBTY occasionally
Mozza
I wouldn't keep Overture. Despite liking the song it just doesn't sound 'live'. I'd keep Uprising and Mk as regulars and have US and Eurasia as rotations.
forevermusic
I'd have Uprising, USoE and MKU as staples, rotate Resistance with Invincible for a cheese-slot (Invincible's a better song), rotate UD with Endlessly for a synth-pop love song (Endlessly is fucking miles better though) and rotate US with New Born (they're both good). Overture and Guiding Light live are not that good, Feeling Good should be kept at the festivals and IBTY should be bought out every 4 or 5 gigs. FearAndPanic
Overture should become a Blackout-esque rarity.
