Jobby
It's by far one of the most overrated Muse songs ever. If not THE most overrated. See, I've always though SS was pretty overrated. Knights doesn't really get that much praise, especially on here.

Dee3Dee
Guiding Light. i dont even No. Yes. For real. I don't know, I think Citizen Erased is the most overrated Muse song and I'm saying this as someone whose second favourite Muse song is Citizen Erased. My favourite is Knights of Cydonia. The difference being that CE is a good song, while Knights is just meh. See, I've always though SS was pretty overrated. Knights doesn't really get that much praise, especially on here. Uhm...yes it does. The most overrated muse song is TiRO, no doubt. To this day Matt and his fans still fap to KoC (olol), whereas no one gives a shit about TIRO anymore. FabriPav
Yes. For real. To this day Matt and his fans still fap to KoC (olol), whereas no one gives a shit about TIRO anymore. I see that TiRO still gets praised so much, I don't even know why. I still think you're just sick of the song live (and that's obviously understandable). It is a great song though. The first time I heard it it blew me away.
Jobby
Uhm...yes it does. Not from what I've seen 90% of the time I see it mentioned on here, it's getting slagged off. Casuals might praise it a fair bit but that's because it is a good song so you can't really blame them for liking it, especially as they won't know that many songs so there is a chance it'd be the best Muse song they know. FearAndPanic
I'd still love to see it I'd be pissed if they stopped playing it without me ever seeing it as it was my first Muse song. Now it can fuck off forever.

kueller
To this day Matt and his fans still fap to KoC (olol), whereas no one gives a shit about TIRO anymore. Maybe because they like it and it's actually decent live.
Dee3Dee
I would post lots of examples of KoC praise from the band and from fans, but frankly I'm lazy. Anyway, the MySpace UK Winner interview has one instance of it. The question was "Which song would you like to be remembered by" or something like that, and Matt started talking about KoC. He's mentioned several times that he's super proud of the last riff in KoC. It was top 5 in the summer setlist polls for several gigs. It does get slagged off a lot on this board, but most of the time I just see it referred to as a "great closer" and an "epic song". Frankly, it's extremely overrated. It's an okay song, and yeah, it works well every now and then, but it really isn't THAT good.
Finn.
My perfect setlist for the Resistance Tour, using all the new tunes and some great old songs from the past, i could change Feeling Good for Ruled By Secrecy too, but it tried to do it realistic Uprising Supermassive Black Hole MK Ultra Neutron Star Collision Butterflies & Hurricanes Guiding Light Bliss Hysteria Citizen Erased United States Of Eurasia I Belong To You Feeling Good Undisclosed Desires Resistance Starlight Time Is Running Out Unnatural Selection Exogenesis Stockholm Take A Bow Plug In Baby Knights Of Cydonia

Finn.
I was inspired in Manchester and Wembley to create the set, the first part is brilliant, and the second part is a greatest hits karaoke till the encores. Stadium gigs are mainstream gigs after all.

Jobby
Don't act surprised when you experienced that first hand at Manchester. Only just realised I did For me it wasn't too bad though 'cause it was my first gig so I didn't mind too much. I was bored at Leeds Fest though, during UD > Resistance > Starlight so I can't imagine sitting through FG > UD > Resistance > Starlight > TIRO again now. Good lord, that'd be dull. I guess the first gig is a bit more exciting. First time I saw them they only played 11 songs so I have no idea if I'd get bored or not. I did get bored through the UD>Resistance>TIRO>Starlight bit though when I heard it. Really, what were they thinking when they decided to put those all back to back? Jobby
If Muse had let me write them a reasonable setlist for TR tour: 1 - Uprising (Extended) / Close Encounters Intro + Knights Of Cydonia 2 - Hysteria 3 - Map Of The Problematique 4 - New Born 5 - Supermassive Black Hole 6 - Resistance 7 - Starlight / Time Is Running Out 8 - MK Ultra 9 - United States Of Eurasia 10 - Feeling Good / I Belong To You 11 - Sunburn (Piano) 12 - Ruled By Secrecy 13 - Butterflies & Hurricanes 14 - Plug In Baby (Extended) / Bliss (Extended) 15 - Unnatural Selection / Stockholm Syndrome 16 - Take A Bow / Exogenesis: Part 1 (Overture) 17 - Dead Star / Fury 18 - Muscle Museum 19 - Blackout / Unintended 20 - Knights Of Cydonia / Stockholm Syndrome / Take A Bow Something like that, anyway. TheBellamyist
Only because it's been played to death though, if you look past that, it is a great closer I reaaaaally liked it when they opened with it on HAARP. Really seemed to get the crowd going well.
MartinSM
Slightly plausible, mostly heavy set. 1. Knights Of Cydonia 2. Bliss 3. SMBH 4. MOTP + riff 5. MK Ultra 6. Dead Star/Dead Cuts 7. Interlude + Hysteria + riff 8. Unnatural Selection 9. Butterflies & Hurricanes 10. Ruled By Secrecy 11. USoE 12. Space Dementia (guitar outro) 13. Starlight 14. Invincible 15. HotRS + Time Is Running Out + riff 16. Plug In Baby 17. Citizen Erased 18. New Born + riff 19. Uprising (riff version) 20. Stockholm Syndrome + riffs 21. Take A Bow
sade
Might as well try this now before the new album comes and then see if some of it will be replaced by new album tracks. 1.Knights of Cydonia (a reworked shorter version, cutting some of the end...it bores me. In real life gigs willingly missing the last 40 seconds is the perfect chance to start rushing to the gates to beat the lines to busses/trains though) 2.Uprising (possibly somehow flowing seamlessly from KoC) 3.Assassin 4.Exo-politics 5.Unintended 6.Supermassive Black Hole 7.Cave (possibly the jazzy version) 8.Apocalypse Please 9.Endlessly 10.Unnatural Selection 11.City of Delusion 12.Screenager 13.Muscle Museum 14.Bliss (falsetto) 15 Citizen Erased ---- 16.Falling Down 17.I Belong to You 18.Butterflies&Hurricanes --- 19.Micro Cuts 20.Stockholm Syndrome
Alec Ferris
I'm gonna wheel out my dream Muse-at-Sonisphere setlist: Time Is Running Out Hyper Music Dead Star Assassin (with the Omega breakdown before or midway) Citizen Erased City of Delusion Shrinking Universe Stockholm Syndrome Whacking big jam sesh going into... Yes Please Hysteria with the Interlude intro Exo-Politics Unnatural Selection The Small Print Another bundles of jams seguing into: Plug In Baby Fury Do We Need This? Butterflies and Hurricanes, heavier version with a solo before Matt puts his guitar down, then closing with Matt on the piano, setting up for: New Born Subject to change when the new album comes out. Peter.
has anyone done the totally impossible one yet? I guess so, but whatever, here's my try: 1.Showbiz 2.Shrinking Universe 3.Piano Thing 4.Fury (+Execution Commentary riff) 5.In Your World 6.Micro Cuts 7.Dead Star 8.Hyper Chondriac Music 9.Glorious 10.Soldier's Poem 11.Screenager 12.Futurism 13.Space Dementia 14.Assassin (clean gobedit of course) 15.Citizen Erased 16.Megalomania
