Elobliss
Sing for Absolution, the ending is amazing, really amazing. so much power also Unintended, Exogenesis Redemption and Ruled by Secrecy.Plug in Baby shows off his powerful voice too i think. Naughtrish
Although Matt can go to one end of the scale to the other, I much prefer his deeper voice in Cross-pollination. "Spread our code to the stars..." just gives me chills.

"Spread our code to the stars..." just gives me chills. I enjoy that form of his voice as well. Instantly epic. He sings in a similar way during the 3rd chorus of Invincible. Wingardium LevioSIA
Exogenesis is great as it shows the various different ways Matt can sing. I especially like Redemption, where his voice has this odd floaty quality that I haven't noticed in any other Muse song (although he comes close to it in Citizen Erased). Also good: Falling Down, Plug In Baby, Megalomania, Sing For Absolution, Falling Away With You, Blackout, Hoodoo, Resistance, MK Ultra.
lauralove
I'd say Hypermusic and House of the rising sun. I don't think there's a need for an explanation why I haven chosen these... His early vocal works are better I think.

syzygy
I really like the tone of his voice throughout TR. It's so...sexy . But I really like HOTRS and Hypermusic...and of course the final Showbiz notes...I mean . Really any song Muse has done is astounding, vocal and instrumental-wise. He can sing amazing and play guitar beastly and play piano like a god and now keytar! The question is...Matt's worst vocal work?

Wingardium LevioSIA
The question is...Matt's worst vocal work? His voice in Sober is kinda annoying... otherwise, I can't think of much to complain about.
radiam16
Micro Cuts. To this day I still don't know what he is saying but it is so powerful that I don't even care. I totally adore it!! Hoodoo and I Belong To You are also amazing.
Kenshin11212
Why has nobody mentioned Space Dementia? D: Space Dementia Micro Cuts Showbiz Bliss (live performances with the awesome falsetto at the end) I also love Hoodoo. Long notes ftw

Funny, I was just listening to that today and was thinking the same thing, and that I should mention it in this thread.
LPLindsey
I agree that Matt seems to have lost that raw edge to his voice that really made their sound special. Not to say that I don't love The Resistance, but his voice sounds slightly deeper and technical. Listen to Cave.... the chorus to that song is so raw and awesome! Makes me sad that maybe he doesn't have the range he used to... his falsetto is to die for (i.e. Microcuts, etc) but regardless, there's no denying he is a fabulous singer still. I'll take 'em any way I can get 'em!

That's fair enough, but in my opinion there is a hell of a lot of feeling in I Belong To You. I'd actually argue that it's far more heartfelt than a song like Unintended - I don't expect everyone to agree with that though.
Phoenix1342689
y'know? (looks around nervously) I think Matt's voice has significantly improved over the course of time, and I have to say that the Sampson & Delilah excerpt and Redemption show the best vocals. I know I'm going to get beaten, raped, and/or murdered, but I think Showbiz and even some of OoS is a bit sloppy with vocals.
dead0citizen
i think its at the end of Showbiz, all Spiral Static, Micro Cuts and Exogenesis (overture)
Saracene
I think Showbiz and even some of OoS is a bit sloppy with vocals. I agree actually. I don't think that great singing has anything to do with adolescent angst and high notes.

I actually prefer when Matt sings in a slightly deeper voice, like in Spiral Static, Hoodoo and The Resistance. It may not sound as angsty, but that doesn't mean it's any less heartfelt. museareawesome
I think he is amazing in Overture. I know its a bit of a cliche, but it takes my breath away But I also agree with Spiral Static. Brilliant vocals in that. Should have been on Showbiz Oh and Fury! I think there are very good vocals in that too!
