Peroxide Pixie
I prefer Hysteria it's one of my all time favourites.
Trilateral_Symmetry_Com'n.
Hysteria is a lame song, SS is alright. The lead guitar tone is utter shit, though. Lead guitar? If there's a clip out there of "SS" with two or more guitars on it, I'd love to see it!
Guest Octazooka
Both are awesome songs, however The Resistance has been getting heavy rotation on my MP3 player..

lottiefunk
I used to hate them but sort of like them now... just take a while to get over more guitar than vocals.
I, Prada Shoes
Lead guitar? If there's a clip out there of "SS" with two or more guitars on it, I'd love to see it! Well you're in luck! You can hear a version on their album called "Absolution," you may have heard of it. You don't know much, do you?
Trilateral_Symmetry_Com'n.
Well you're in luck! You can hear a version on their album called "Absolution," you may have heard of it. You don't know much, do you? Enough about music to know the difference between guitar and bass, and lead gtr and rhythm, and that it's silly to refer to guitar as lead guitar unless there's another musician playing a rhythm part. And there's nothing wrong with Matt's guitar tone. It's one of the things that makes up his signature sound... on his signature guitars. Maybe you should stick to footwear, sweetie, 'cause you're pants at music criticism. And since you've asked for it, there was nothing wrong with the poll choices for this thread, either. I mean, for most Muse fans it's a silly thread, but if you take the question seriously, those three poll options are pretty much the only ones to choose from. I, Prada Shoes
and that it's silly to refer to guitar as lead guitar unless there's another musician playing a rhythm part. I was right. You really don't know much on this matter.

TrebleRose689
I love both of them very much! Probably the two best songs on Absolution, I'd say! As for which is my fave, I guess I'm inclined to say I like Hysteria more, since it was my first "favorite" Muse song... back when I bought my first Muse CD (Absolution, obviously) during my first listen-through, the second Hysteria was over I played it about 2 or 3 more times and instantly proclaimed "THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG EVER!" I honestly don't know why, but something about it just "captured" me. It's probably not at the tippity-top of my fave Muse song list anymore (now that I've heard their 70 million other incredible songs ), but I'm fairly certain it would still end up in the top

static shadows
I don't get anyone who dislikes them. Especially Stockholm Syndrome. I can only presume the type who don't like SS are the type who click their fingers to Coldplay and believe U2 are a ground breaking band. In other words tasteless, or at best deluded. Horcrux
I can't see how anyone can dislike these songs, they are amazing. Although I do prefer the live versions to the studios. Â I don't get anyone who dislikes them. Especially Stockholm Syndrome. I can only presume the type who don't like SS are the type who click their fingers to Coldplay and believe U2 are a ground breaking band. In other words tasteless, or at best deluded. MiKeUltra
As I said in the MSWC, SS has an ossum intro and verses, but the chorus really ruin it for me. Hysteria is easily in the top 3 Muse songs, simply amazing.
