Hooligan Village
Anyone else notice during the last chorus of uprising matts crazy falsetto? Its panned to the right and pretty low in the mix. Goes from the high note in time is running out to the high note in plug in baby. Seems like im the only one hearing this? chapel
Nope, your not. If you look back to when the song was released lots of people noticed that. I love it!
Dominic.
I think most people have noticed this and there was another thread about this before and it got locked...
Amy W
Yeah. It's awesome.
Wingardium LevioSIA
Yeah, lots of people said at the time. Now whenever I hear that bit, the falsetto is just about all I hear. It's quite odd.
Hopix
Same with the final "I want the truth" in US.

Blaz
High, but I can't tell if it's been pitch modded high like that. . . . . .like 1:42 of MK Ultra.

Hopix
Thought that was his chest voice. It might be...? there's a difference? (music noob here)
Carbo
It might be...? there's a difference? (music noob here) Chest voice is the voice you practically scream out, the more powerful one. The one Matt uses in the Futurism chorus and halfway through the outro forexample. Think this is what he uses in Unnatural Selection. Falsetto (aka puberty voice) is the voice he uses in songs like Micro Cuts during the choruses. Doesn't need much effort to perform although its a bit weaker than the average chest voice. Also heard that when live Matt uses falsetto to replace the chest singing in Feeling Good.
Furygirl
Same with the final "I want the truth" in US. I noticed that one the first time hearing the song, but I STILL can't hear the falsetto in Uprising, even though I know when it occurs and I concentrate really hard. I must just have the shittiest stereo possible or summat.
melon
Matt falsetto = <3 Overture is the best. And Microcuts is a classic
Hollandkäse
Why is most of the fasletto singing on this album in the background of a song? Apart from "Overture", there's no real "highness", and even there it isn't that high. I miss the crazy vocals like the final scream of "Showbiz" or "Plug In Baby" ... Will_
Feelin' like a noob... but I swear I can hear Matt singing falsetto an octave above in the final chorus of Uprising, just heard it thru headphones. I guess it could have just been put up an octave, but the falsetto I can hear is way more pronounced than the main vocal...

Hat
It tops at G5, and I thought it was common knowledge by now Search for "Uprising falsetto" on youtube and I'm sure you'll find the backing track.

Hat
Check out James Durbins cover from American Idol. He did the high falsetto part. Topped at F5 though, but still. And sounded like crap, but still
Spectrum IV
It's particularly impressive because he is singing lyrics up there... most of his high falsetto's are just vowels. Anyway, there's already a thread about this, so I'm going to merge the two.
