Muse have been announced to play the Virgin Festival in Canada. They will play on the 9th September at the event at the Toronto Centre Island Park. Unlike the UK version, there is no second venue.

I never expected this ... to see them more than once in my city in a year.

[edit] Not listed on the official site yet, at this point.

I've already got a ticket for Sunday to see The Raconteurs, now I'll have to get one for Saturday as well. I gotta cancell my volunteer shift for Toronto Film Festival.

I never expected this ... to see them twice in my city.

Muselive. Posted by RaymondM. Also found it in microcuts.net, in the tour schedule. :)

Nice birthday gift, indeed. :D Wonder if they are the last of the order, so they'll have a chance to play longer than other bands?

Wee well the Toronto Sun just had it in their paper today too. Along with some other bands that were anounced for the fest, but I've already forgotten who they were.
In order of the listing on the official V fest site (yes, it's listed now!).

The Flaming Lips

Gnarls Barkley

Muse, Alexisonfire

Eagles of Death Metal

The Hidden Cameras, The Dears

Buck 65, Phenix, Wintersleep .... etc.

Muse is the 3rd from the top!? :stunned:

For $60, I'd like them to play at least 1 hour.

One hour would be nice. At Curiosa they played 6 songs (30mins). It all ending so quickly. We'll have wait untill we see the set times. :)

Montreal + Mod Club were before that gig (in 2004), and prior to that, Muse themselves said they'd never played in Canada...

Was it just the one time Muse were in Van?

MUSE were in vancouver twice in 2004. In May and September.

And yeah the first time they were here in Canada was in Montreal.

I hope they come here before the year ends... and not during my trip in france & italy in October! or else i'll be heartbroken :'(

For most Gigs in Canada (Vancouver), do you have to be 19 years or older? For example, I really want to see "We are Scientists" when I'm in Vancouver, but for that gig you have to 19 years or up :stunned:

I'm a Muse fan from Holland, and I'll be in Vancouver from september 2006 till may 2007.
