Neil.
i think i'd still prefer to get my own one cnc routed. those guitars are cool and all, but i'd still rather my own one.
sherpa_man
Fuck yeah. The only reason Manson has really done this is so other luthiers don't still 'his shape' and he can start pocketing the money tbf. lol scrap the pm before

Musemonkey1
wtf, april fools day was over two weeks ago. edit: though in all seriousness, I'm surprised they've gone with the humbucking sustainer considering that Matt seems to prefer the single- coil version. Arcane
I must say, if I was going for a signature guitar, and had that money...I'd probs get me a Dave Gilmour NOS Black Strat instead. After I'd had a look at the Delorean standard anyways. Mmmm. Buuuut, I'll never have enough money like that to spend on a guitar so I think I shall rather find my own path, guitar-wise. davrok
Wow......Didn't see that coming. Thought I'd give my opinion being one of the guys who had a cusom made. I totally agree with other comments its about 2000 overpriced I spent around 1800 making my custom through sims and even then that was going the expensive route and getting the mirror finish. I'm not a big fan of the XY pad personally as I prefer having the FF controls and I dont think even matt uses the pad that much on stage unless its between songs. It's a tad bias but I prefer having my mahogany body and mirror top knowing that I wont have to bump into anyone with the same guitar and still being able to turn heads and getting a darker tone. That being said they will probably be custom soon. I admit though it would be cool to have a genuine Manson but it kinda kills you knowing its almost mass produced. I think others would agree you get a great sense of achievement making your own custom and its more personal to you. I wont be selling my custom I love it too much and I'm a big fan of the tune-o-matic and FF. Maybe I'll consider getting a de'lorean model in future when the dust settles/price settles but asmuch as I love these guitars the price tag is waaaay too big unless you can get a carbon copy etc and even then it would be my second guitar not a replacement qand would cost more no doubt. Seriously though all i can say is wow...I did think April 1st when I saw this post. Do you want a replica that was purely made to make money or do you want a replica you slaved over and made your own. It's a tough one.
Phill
I don't picture them being as hand made as the usual Mansons to be honest. I'd guess they'll have a small production line system going on, which should mean they should be able to produce them for less. But as someone pointed out, Bell's has to have his cut. Nice idea though, but I would feel a bit sad spending that much on a guitar that anyone can buy now. If I won a few grand on a scratch card I'd probably blow it on one of them though! davrok
Just throwing this out there on a hunch but do you rekon matt has a NEW guitar shape coming out hence bringing out the MB1 model, getting asmuch money as possible from it before showing the new guitar to the world in the new tour? I don't see matt giving up his shape unless he had something better planned. Just a thought seeing as matt wouldn't of wanted his guitars mass produced. Phill
Yeah true. It would be nice if they said they are willing to do what ever you want with that shape so you can at least have a £3K to your spec, rather than limited options.

zooropa1310
Lol. Tons of Matt wannabeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees orgasm is near... Time to grow up boys. I actually think this is a legit thing for everyone to be excited/talkative about. For Manson's as a business entity to refuse building these for years and years, and finally come out with a full on signature series, it's damn good news to talk about. But damn, 3300 for a midi pad guitar and sustainer? I charge less than HALF of that. I don't think these should have alder bodies.
davrok
For those planning to order I'd say wait a while and see what versions come out in future can you imagin paying 3k or more then seeing an even better version that you missed out on. If I ever order one it will be fully customized with a full set of options for that price. Matt Orgasm arrrgrgrgrggagagagagagaaaaaa
