Dave. Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 This is a new song my band has written. This was only our 3rd time playing it so it's a little rough but we're very happy with it. I'd love to hear what ye think [soundcloud] [/soundcloud]
matthijs Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Couldn't listen through the board, but... I love the Tool-ish sounds. Some more cymbal work in the beginning might increase that atmosphere if that's what you're going for.

None of my tracks work properly in the straight link. Thanks! The driven bass tone was my bassdrive and big muff running in parallel with a clean blend. I'm very happy with it. Funnily enough, our drummer didn't know we were recording so that's why is fucking around quite a lot. When we record it properly (which could be awhile since we're now looking for a frontman/2nd guitarist) we have high hopes for this song.
matthijs Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I think it might have to do with what you allow the song rights wise. On my phone now though, can't tell what it could be

Lexical_Whale Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Finally got round to releasing our first LP today. Easily the best thing we've done to date and hopefully something in there for everyone: long ones, short ones, loud ones, quiet ones, rocky ones, ambient ones, riffy ones, proggy ones. Some of my favourite guitar tones I've ever heard out of my gear too so really quite proud of those particularly. Can be streamed/downloaded from Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify. A fine way to spend a 40 minutes or so on a fine spring afternoon even if I say so myself!
Crowella Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) One take recording* for our demo. Finally have a drummer AND singer <3 https://soundcloud.com/adamcrowell1990/titans/s-oTJIZ Also, got to use the Goodbye 24 for the first time in a recording. Pfft, who needs a synth player? *Excluding vocals since they weren't written at the time. Edited March 26, 2015 by Crowella

Pfft, who needs a synth player? *Excluding vocals since they weren't written at the time. Cool song but the guitar tuning sounds really off to me for those clean arpeggios. Shame really as the track has a great vibe and sounds grand apart from that.
matthijs Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I agree on the arpeggio's... it's either the chorus on it, the type of delay, or the actual tuning, but it's really making some hairs at the back of my neck stand up. Out of curiosity, did you pick this type of snare sound on purpose? I'm not sure it fits the music type a lot. Then again, I'm very picky about those.
Crowella Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Its definitely the chorus on the delay. We figured that it was out. Were doing the proper recording at the Australian Institute of Music. Our drummer is fussy with snare choice too. I think we used Superior Drummer.
Crowella Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Meh, have another song. https://valko.bandcamp.com/track/medusa-cascade
matthijs Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Cool! What bass did you record that on? Also I think that the singer you got is a good find, same singing style as the girl, but I don't get the Paramore vibe anymore.
Crowella Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Uhh, my guess is my old Precision bass, I can't actually remember. Also, of course it is a similar style when he wrote the lyrics/melodies to most of our previous songs.
Spectrum IV Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Meh, have another song. https://valko.bandcamp.com/track/medusa-cascade Damn that's good. Loving the atmosphere you guys have got going. Here's one of my tracks. I can't decide if I love it or hate it. [soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/floatient/pressurise[/soundcloud]

Crowella Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Trying something different with our old drummer and a new guitarist. I get overly jealous when he solos tbh. [soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/adamcrowell1990/maythe4th[/soundcloud]
