gordon
Hey there, just got back from the studio I wouldn't mind some feedback on the songs, i've never really attempted anything like this. It's also the first thing i've done with a violinist in it. A quick run down of the songs in case you prefer a particular style: 1. Basic rock type heavy-ish song. Not a bad beat to it. 2. Um..weird. Goes quite Radiohead at the end. We spend quite a while on the bit in the middle of the song. One of my favourite songs i've written. 3. A simple song with just guitar and violin. My favourite of the three and it took the shortest time to record. Anyway, as i said i'd love some feedback to see where i'm going wrong, thanks Gordon p.s. forgot the link... haze015
I think my sig says it all really, one song is available to listen to on the site, but it's an old live recording, not what we've recorded for the CD, which does sound better. Edit - Scrap that, nothing to listen to on the site now, http://www.purevolume.com/blueshiftuk fr something, though it's just really old live recordings, from the days when I didn't have a Whammy or a Rat

~arph
Ah thanks! Btw. I enjoy listening to these.. erm.. plugged bands. YellowSphere
I formed a band with two mates whom I've known for over a decade and one of their mates a few weeks back called Studio Tokyo!. We went on a course which basically culminates in a gig at a local venue. We were chosen to be the headlining act of one of the two gigs put on comprised of bands on the course. We played three songs, all original, and then ended with an improvization. You can listen to all of this on our MySpace, the link to which is in my sig. Note: if the sig comes up as squares, not Japanese, you are gay.

Max
I recorded an early guitar demo of a track called Statements. I am going to try and add drums to it this weekend but it depends on how it goes. I need to re-record the guitar anyway but have a listen and see what you think. If you like to use a rhythm imagination, the BPM is 120. Apologies for the not so great mixing but at least you can hear a guitar. Hyperspacey
You're not exactly gonna love this, but there's a signed Glasgow band called Ernest. My suggestion- drop the vowels. RNST. Catchy, non? My band have similar name issues. We're waiting for our US namesakes to crumble in fear before we move in and take their name. As if. Dude.. no worries.. we're on the case.. we've known about them for a couple of years.. we had the name registered first with the International something or other.. As far as they're concerened, until one of us has the money for a court battle it dont matter.. we've been touring for the last 3 years under this name and aint gunna change it now..lol.. but thanks for the message. Hyperspacey
If Judge Trufax in the Courts Of Rock is preciding, then that's all that matters. If it comes down to it, I'll stand as witness: They do Not Rock. Heck, Glasgow Ernest played the entire two gigs with the singer constantly kicking his booster pedal in an attempt to make it work.
