Problemfanatique
Hm, why? hehe we used to rant about Twilight in a thread I made ages ago before it got locked.
Citizen Erased
guess im lucky at the moment, twilight isnt too big here apart from the occasional "OMG EDWARD IS LYK SOOO FIT!" To which i respond, "Stfu." It's realtively big here, but thankfully I haven't been the victim of any Twitard related attacks. I just raise an eyebrow at my friends when they start talking about it, or

Citizen Erased
Haha, I'm the only girl (that I know of in my school) that hates Twilight with a passion. When I was in the cinema watching it, my friends noticed me sinking lower in my seat, and one of them even had the nerve, the NERVE, to say 'If you knew you wouldn't enjoy it, you shouldn't have come' :O

When I was in the cinema watching it, my friends noticed me sinking lower in my seat, and one of them even had the nerve, the NERVE, to say 'If you knew you wouldn't enjoy it, you shouldn't have come' :O I only went for Muse. When SMBH came on, the girl i was with said "is this the bit you came for?" i nodded and she said "the music's a bit rubbish, i wish they chose something" I had to retain the urge to slap her. Citizen Erased
Heh, I would have ended slapping her. Or just glaring at her for the rest of the film, and give her the silent treatment for a few weeks Naw, SMBH was the only thing I saw it for too, as soon as it came on, I perked up and started dancing in my seat, and singing along. It was the ONLY thing that stopped me screaming and yelling at the screen to show something better. I seriously was on the verge of walking out but SMBH started playing and I decided to stay, BUT while I was dancing in my seat, my friends we're raising their eyebrows at me, while all through the movie, they'd been screaming at all the new characters. Max
I have to say, seeing a film because of a song that is in the soundtrack is a bit sad.
Citizen Erased
Well, I'd been invited by my friends to see the film, and it had SMBH in it, so I figured I'd go.
Nattywba
Twilight fan girls are crazy. I've been reading about them. Some fan girl tried to drown someone who said Twilight wasn't their thing, another broke someone's arm, another beat someone with a baseball bat. They're nutters. Seriously. this made me laugh
Citizen Erased
this made me laugh The fact that they go to these extents is laughable. But the actual things they do are horrifying. One Twitard wished someone would have a miscarriage because they said they didn't like it. http://www.amazon.com/For-The-Lurker-Lilith/forum/Fx1GAA6GYWX8459/Tx2WUTB4ZT9C4R/1/ref=cm_cd_ef_tft_tp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=031606792X Read that. It's kinda disturbing that someone would say anything like that.

Citizen Erased
It was the same with me. She had already bought the tickets, i couldn't really say no. I was just bored, so decided to go, knowing it would potentially be full of screaming 13 year old girls, but also hoping against hope that it wouldn't be... My cousin started reading it the other week, and she was so proud that she was reading it. Today I asked her how she got on with it. She said she gave up at chapter
songstress-yuna
I completely agree - nowadays I can't hear the word 'Twilight' without getting angry at the stupid fangirls it inevitably brings with it. I've tried to read the books but I'm personally on the side of good grammar and a good plot, so gave up rather quickly. On the Muse side, though, luckily enough I don't think I've heard, in real life, someone say that they love SMBH and nothing else... although my friends did say, upon coming back from seeing the film, that they were listening to Muse purely because of it... dunno whether it was just SMBH they were listening to, but eh. It doesn't seem to have had too much of an impact on the Muse fanbase, that I've seen, anyway, so that I'm not too bothered about. It's the books and their fanbase themselves >< Oh, but Watchmen? I'm fine, happy even, about that; hearing TAB coming on in the trailer was awesome
MrPowell
Naw, SMBH was the only thing I saw it for too, . What the actual fuck? Are you serious? You saw a film to LISTEN TO FREAKIN' SONG?

Erica-Jane
hey, everyone is ranting about how disappointed they are about SMBH being in the movie... i was more pissed that they included a radiohead song i was sitting there and suddenly 15 step starts playing (btw for those who have seen the movie and don't know what i am fucking on about, it's the song that starts playing when victoria takes her hair out at the end and starts walking down the stairs )... i am shocked that it didn't make it to the soundtrack (i'm kinda glad it's not, that would be insulting to radiohead) but i have a feeling a lot of girls would be like " hot song! it's so dancey!" and suddenly radiohead has this fan base of girls thinking they do dancey songs... and putting muse and radiohead in the same movie is shameful. i like to keep these two sensational bands apart oh yeah, to keep this nice for the MUSE part of it, i think they should have chosen a different song...it would have kept me from going WTF all the way thru those agonising minutes of the baseball scene. I have read the books because I was bored, and suddenly I found myself hooked on them, thinking "how on hell I want to read these extended fanfics?".But then,I had enough. When I knew that SMBH would be on the soundtrack,I couldn´t care less,as I despise the song. But then I knew that 15 Step would be on it too.Fearing the worst,I decided to see the movie, just to see how "they"would use it.When I was at home, thinking about Twatlighters (no offence to sane fans!),the whole "omfg what if they choose Radiohead as their new idols because of this song, etc?"idea came to my mind. Not because I´m a zealous Radiohead fan (which I am)but for the same way "they"chose SMBH:they´re not their "definite"songs, and fans would get it wrong.I´m not talking out of my arse: I really liked that song from The Black Ghosts, and checking their other stuff made me realise that "they"had chosen a song that wasn´t like the rest of their songs.Same happened with Iron&Wine. P.S.Read "They" as "Summit".

Can you imagine Twilighters drooling over Thom Yorke & Co.? But, anyway, I can't get over Muse part. The photo in Meyer's MySpace profile is one of "our" Matt and her (well, yes, I admit I would have that picture posted everywhere if I had it; but she's a public person, and I'm just ranting and being happy). What about her husband? Poor Mr. Meyer Her MySpace is quite funny, though.

SuperGinge
She justs seems to be a Bellamy fangirl. Notice how in her photos she has one of her and the whole of muse, YET she uses the one of her and Matt. And in her 'Who i'd like to meet' bit Edward Cullen, Jacob Black, Matthew Bellamy (check!!), Orson Scott Card (talked to on phone, check!!), Henry Cavill, Steven Strait, Stephen Colbert (said my name on TV, check!!), Ian Ball, Joe King, John Krasinski, Tim Gunn ffs woman, give the whole band some credit. I, personally, am a fan of the books, my friend lent them to me a while ago. I thought they were pretty decent. HOWEVER, i am not a twatlighter. Some of the things i read on that 'twilight sucks' forum were just horrific. I hope to god that some of them aren't true. I would NEVER dream of doing any of those things to a person over a fucking book. Its just ridiculous. Everyone has their own opinions on stuff, its called freedom of speech. /halfhearted rant over. tails
Meep. Thought this was about RATM. Yar me too.... I didn't bother to read through all the posts (sorry!) but trust me, and other people on the board should be able to vouch for me too, that I hate the merging of Muse/Twilight as much as one possibly can. There have already been threads just bantering on about it, but I'm pretty sure the main one got locked....but aaaaanyways! After much arguing and venting of pent up anger, I've tried to move on and just tried to ignore it. I figure that since SMBH is a pretty unique Muse song, and none of the others sound even remotely close to it, if Twilight fans go crazy over that one, doesn't necessarily mean they'll get hooked on all the other, much better Muse tracks. And whoever said that TAB being in the Watchmen trailer doesn't bother them, I agree, Watchmen looks like a solid movie and I'm sure the fans for that film/novel aren't nearly as infatuated with the characters and everything associated with them as Twilight fans are.....hence, way less annoying and way more bearable. And I know some people might read this and think "Twilight fans have every right to be fans of Muse as anyone else!" So let me just say once again, that's true, I agree, and I'm all for people discovering the awesomeness that is Muse. It's just the OTT fangirlyness and the claims of LOOOOOVING Muse when they've really only heard the one song, and not even on their own, but by it being spoonfed to them through all the Twilight/SMBH publicity is what pisses me off the most. /end rant...i apologize....
