Josi Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 WIN. But dreamingofhysteria I totally agree. How does it fit exactly? I have no idea! The author mentioned that whilst writing Twilight, she listened to Muse and imagined certain scenes/plot lines concerning the love story unfold...or something along those lines. In my opinion, she's not fully grasping what Muse are all about I mean, if I started listening to Muse whilst writing, the vampires would suddenly be on some crazy space mission after the apocolypse...and then it would turn out that they're not vampires at all, but actually mutant lizard creatures in disguise...

HelloMrBellamy Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I'd heard of twilight because of muse, and when I heard that they were in the film I was like 'hells yeah!' but I didn't know what it was about so I read the books. The first books okay, the second one wasn't great, and the last 2 were a bit better, but they haven't changed my life. I didn't hate the film, but it annoys me so much when people who used to diss me for loving muse are all like, hey, can you let me borrow black holes and revelations (only bh&r, never any other albums) Grrr..

Josi Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 WIN. But dreamingofhysteria I totally agree. How does it fit exactly? Ah shit!!! I ONLY just got that, I didn't realise i'd said that fail on my behalf, my bad
melon Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Ah shit!!! I ONLY just got that, I didn't realise i'd said that fail on my behalf, my bad  lol, that's why that other guy said "that's what she said"
Josi Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 lol, that's why that other guy said "that's what she said" I realise that now, i didn't quite understand why they said it the first time, but i thought i'd reply with '' so i wouldn't look like a noob for asking what they were on about bit too late for that now

Rainbow Socks Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 The fangirls drive me up the wall too, but fingers crossed it's just going to be another fad that fades away as quickly as it appeared...
Ragoo Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I can just imagine little vampire girls at the gigs... OMIGAWDZZZZ!!!! Muse, this is like so awesome, like! I totally love SMBH! Like. Matt is so vampire-ish. OMIGOD!!!!111One! No wonder my bf is starting to hate Muse... No-one under 16 wearing a Twilight tee shirt should be allowed in.

Matt is so vampire-ish. OMIGOD!!!!111One! It really surprises me how many people actually "know" the band 'cause of twilight. When I told 2 friends of mine that I'm going to their concerts they looked at me and honestly, both said "Their song is featured in twilight, right? I love that song. But it's their only song I know." And I just didn't expect them to know Muse because they just don't listen to that kind of music... but then again... they just know that one song... So, I smiled and said they should listen to more of their songs because they make really great music

Well, in Dec 2008 I had the pleasure to see Kings of Leon. Basically everyone around me left after Sex on Fire. I was like, wtf??? You paid 60 euro and you are leaving already??? So I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing happen at Muse. Also, I'm sure this has been posted before but...
Alienferret Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I'm too angry to use the search function. I've loved muse for years now and joined this forum about a year ago after I found it. I'm PISSED about the film soundtracks muse has been contributing to. Twilight was a stab to my heart. Letting Twilight use supermassive blackhole was guaranteed to bring thousands of senseless teenage vampire lover wannabees into the fanbase...no...THEY CANT EVEN BE CONSIDERED FANS Here's one example of a post I found on a Facebook Muse group: For those of you who have been lucky enough to avoid the twilight fad, Cullen is the last name of the dream boy vampire character that girls are orgasming to. THIS IS JUST ONE PRIME EXAMPLE OF THE KIND OF PEOPLE I AM ASSOCIATING MYSELF WITH WHEN I SAY IM A MUSE FAN. I HAVE TO GO OUT OF MY WAY TO EXPLAIN THAT I HATE TWILIGHT AND EDWARD CULLEN AND ALL HIS VAMPIRE BUDDIES. IF ONE MORE PERSON ASKS ME IF I SAW TWILIGHT BECAUSE IM LISTENING TO MUSE I SWEAR... And today as I was sitting down to watch Friday The 13th, Take A Bow starts playing during the preview for The Watchmen. I'm excited about the Watchmen, but this just means that were now also going to have Watchmen fanboys rant about how great Take A Bow is. STOP THIS MUSE. What you're doing is taking a collection of fine/rare coins (we fans) and throwing in a pile of pennies (Twilight/Watchmen fanboys/girls) and going "at least we have more coins in our collection" NO...IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MANY COINS ARE IN YOUR COLLECTION IF THEY'RE ALL A BUNCH OF USELESS PENNIES. Pic related: Its what I want to do to all the twilight fans out there i am really sorry but i like Twilight but i loved Muse way before that, i dont just like muse because of twilight ijust like them anyway. i also get annoyed, though, when people like muse just because they were on a film, they are not proper fans at all.

Alienferret Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Thnx:D Every girl at my school fanices him i really don't know why:facepalm:
HyperChondriac-Microcosm Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Oh God... According to musemessenger, New Moon will feature a song off the Resistance. Here's the link... I must admit I've liked the books, but this is bad news. I'm so pissed right now. I hope silly twilight fangirls won't show up at any muse concert !!
Alienferret Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Same here they are probably the people who get the muse tickets i want:mad:

*~SugarSnow~* Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Twilight can go fuck itself. I can begin on how much I hate the drivel.
Mizutsu Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Supermassive Black Whole......So sad. Watchmen fans actually have taste in life, if they're mature enough to read Watchmen and point and laugh at the nudity, so it's okay if they join us Muse fans. However, Twilight fans CANNOT be ever accepted into out society. Once they start hearing more Muse and less Taylor Swift/ Bring Me the Horizon/ Daddy Yankee, they'll start to fangirl over Matt. NOT COOL. The only reason they'll like Muse in the first place is because of goddamn Stephanie Myer. If anything, she should have made her book less sparkly; Matt disapproves.

Take A Bow makes more sense for Watchmen than SMBH did for Twilight. I've already said that if anyone goes up to me while I'm wearing my Muse shirt and says "TWILIGHT OMG!", I will legit be pissed off and give them a piece of my mind.
