gocanux Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 Hy canux's. Just posted a new thread (maybe old news for some) but for the newer members you just have to listen to it. - Stairway to Devon interview. Blast----and I'm at work, with no audio on my computer! (I think they know I would be listening to Muse downloads and interviews instead of working) But I'll definitely check it out tonight----thanx, Manuella!
greatbigsquirrel Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Hy canux's. Just posted a new thread (maybe old news for some) but for the newer members you just have to listen to it. - Stairway to Devon interview. stairway to devon is a classic for anyone to listen to... not just muse fans you're about to meet a man... black hair, blue eyes... he APPEARS normal. i have it written down somewhere, but i'm on the librarys computer, so i'd have to go dig it out of my own.
gocanux Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 And another reason I have to thank you, Chris, Dom and Matthew: you have cured my son! He was on crutches at the concert just last week, and now he walks. HE WALKS! Thank you for this miracle; now he doesn't have to play Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol this year. Of course, the MRI showed a massive bone bruise and severe MCL sprain, but no major cartilage damage or dreaded ACL tear, but I'm convinced it was Muse who made him well! And you're absolutely right, Chris, soccer is a brutal sport.
gocanux Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 Found a cd "Newborn Parisian" with tracks from both their concerts in Paris Sept 10/03 and London Sept 18/03. Some tracks are repeated in both concerts but who cares?! It's a good addition to my Muse collection. Manuella, please burn me a copy and send it to me for Christmas, one MuseMom to another!

Sounds like he just needs to keep resting for a while and he'll be alright! I've had ACL reconstruction on both my knees due to skateboarding accidents. THe last surgery ( a year and a half ago) was the worst as I refused to get it fixed for over two years, and then one day my leg just stopped working so I had ot have surgery. By then my knee was so mangled inside they had to remove a huge chunk of the meniscus, and it's taken just about a year for me to get back to any form of normality. I still don't have the same kind of strength in my quad I used to though.
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 It'll be my pleasure...just don't forget to pm your address. CONSIDER IT DONE!

ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Read somewhere Matt saying his new stuff is going to have a "western" twist. I'll try finding his quote.
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 You can actually read all about it on Muse on NME next week thread.
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I think it's early enough in their careers that they can afford to experiment with different styles and with that comes the excitement of doing something totally new and different. The question is will the fans embrace it or are they expecting an "absolution" look alike?!? What's your take on it?
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Check out the Matt B Tshirt thread. How awesome is that?
gocanux Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 I think they will know to just make the music that is in them, no matter what that involves. There must be an incredible amount of pressure from record companies, etc, to produce a "successful" CD. I hope Muse never succumbs to that kind of commercial influence and simply write/play the music that comes from within. And whatever that is, knowing the amazing music we have known from them so far, even if it is completely different, the fans, at least the true ones, will respond.
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Didn't they pull out of the record deal back with Oos because the american label wanted them to change some of the original material in order to become more "pop" appealing? I remember reading something about that somewhere.
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I downloaded some accustic stuff and it sounds trully wonderful.
gocanux Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 Which downloads? This site? I agree, and Sing for Absolution acoustic is "fantastic"!
ocean5 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I have tiro, mm, sfa (actually two versions one with what I believe to be an accordian), cave, plug in baby, and unintended. I love them because you can really listen to his voice without any distortions.
ocean5 Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I have successfully burnt the live cd and will be mailing it tomorrow. I will pm you to confirm address. Good night from the east coast.
Bellamy Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 wow.i dont think there's much i can say since everyone has pretty much said it all. we all know the guys are great and i loved the 12/9 concert so very much. that was my very first concert and im so glad it was a muse concert. it gave me a whole new vision of music and it really showed me that im totally different from everyone else. at least what i like. as Channel said, i could not stop smiling after that. i as well slept with a smile on replaying the whole concert in my mind. for three days i talked about it as if it had happened a minute before. i bet everyone i know is pretty much aware of all the details now...i made sure everyone does lol. it's really amazing seeing how their music could change people. i asked my bf to go with me to the concert and he's not much into muse (at least not as much as i've always been) and it was funny how he changed from wanting to sell his ticket right when we were in line to wanting to go to a concert again. and he's not the type of person you'd see at a rock concert. i know he was moved by some songs and after seeing all the fans jumping around and singing to all the songs. it was really nice knowing he shared that joy with me because i was really really happy to be there i felt so lucky. i wish i would've had time to stay after and get to meet the guys. i really wanted to see them up close...or closer since i was right on front lol. and at least say hi and hear them speak to me. i guess i'll wait for the next time they come to town and i know i'll wait as long as i have to after the show. oh and thank you Dom for beating up that drumstick lol...i sleep with it everynight ever since i got it LOL. i still cant belive i own something you touched. i love that. Matt you rock!...you're a total rock star seriously. when he came closer to the crowd during new born i was totally astonished. i was hypnotised seriously. i didnt even take a picture. i was that paralized lol... he's my god. im turning MUSElim lol...that's official Ingrid
muse500 Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Hey...just wanted to contribute by saying thanx. Muse's music is amazing and his voice...omg! Can sum1 teach me to sing like that?? I also think their music is reli imaginative...I can't stop listening to it. Especially Showbiz and the Hullabalo 'B' sides. btw I found a really cool guitar shop in the England (I'm from Northern Ireland), which sells all the mods etc which Matt uses in his collection of guitars. http://www.mansons.co.uk/ Its in the 'features' section Ne1 knol wen they r touring next and where?...I missed them in the Ulster Hall in Belfast last yr Peace Out
